Sorry guys, the quote I was referring to was in soft cover book MOPAR PERFORMANCE by SA DESIGN, has 413 cross ram on cover-1978 era. Don't know if they know what their talking about or not. Looked at casting #'s last night it looks to me to be 2428869-compared a couple. I think this good # but...- Mopar Dan

Thought Id jump in. I've got a couple of steel cranks out of pollies and 318-3 truck engs. I'm not 100% but think these are same as talked about in the old Peterson book,High Per.Chry. W/2's or Edelbrock?
Well I pulled valves out of one hd.& taking to hd. shop tomorrow to ck. flow??? These would only be drag hds. if ok;-weal see?? One thing I found odd is the rocker shaft hold dn. blocks,they have holes 90% apart and also in the m/p books they're talking about a bolt & spacer deal for ported...- Mopar Dan

Thanks for the reply guys.Sorry for the duplication, I'm all new to the site. I thought the eddys needed porting to wake them up? Does you're ref. to indy mean the rod deal? And yea its to bad a company in our sport-in the US-gets to large & forgets how they got there. These w/2's I don't have...- Mopar Dan

My son & I are thinking of putting together a 408. Have a set of used w/2's that came w/ car. They have been ported but we havent flowed them yet. dont know if should screw with or go Edelbrock, Indys little pricey??? :salut:- Mopar Dan
