    Looks like the balancer in picture was custom balanced to the rotating assembly. Not pretty but to replace it you should rebalance the whole rotating assembly.

    With a 72cc head and FelPro 1008 gasket it would be 9.5:1 compression. Measure compression height of the piston and compare to manufacture spec. of 1.465

    With a .062 thick x 4.18 bore gasket the static compression would be about 10:1 and the cam degreed in at 114* the dynamic would be 8.2:1 (border line premium pump gas)
