LOL....that would be true. Indeed they did put oil in, but priming I cannot vouch for. I wasn't there.

So...i have a 1991 360 out of a 4 wheel drive truck...It's the factory roller cammed engine...but NOT the magnum...and it is fuel injected. My question is...I'm using this motor in my 65 dart and puting a 4 speed behind it...what flywheel do i use? Is it the same externally balanced "old"...

If it's factory...it's forged and full floating.....Great motor!

Found em'.......there under the intake port pad......4448308's!!!! Yeah!!!!

lol....yes. There is no numbers cast in like in the earlier heads. The only cast numbers are the 285 and the 173. And the clock symbol of course.

Okay......I feel dumb. I cannot find the casting numbers on my new motors' heads. It's a 1990 LA 360 with a factory roller cam (Right before the Magnum) The only numbers I can find on the heads are 285 on the left bank and 173 on the right....Am I missing something? I am assuming the heads are...

So........A few years back I bought some pistons off of evil-bay.......They are Fed Mogul P/N 322NP-30. From what I can find...these are 273 pistons made by Sterling...??? Sound about right? Do they still makes these? These are brand new in the box with the snap rings......the things you find...

Whats your oil pressure? Did it come on suddenly? Either way....you need to drop the pan IMHO and see whats going on......

Pulled the pan off my 360 today...it was the first time the pan was off since new.....looked around....checked a couple rod bearings.....then noticed one of tha plate bolts for the oil pump was missing.....Looked around the motor for any damage.....nothing......decided to look in the bottom of...

Hi all...I have a 65 273 4 barrel intake manifold.....Casting number 2465726. I think I have heard from different people that the intake bolt holes on the 65 manifold are different angles than the 66 and up....I dropped it on my 360 this afternoon....and I dont see the issue.....am I missing...

That works for me guys.....I dont plan on tearing this thing apart.....I'm going to take a peak at the main-rod bearings to see what their like and if all is well.....(Might put a mild cam in in) put it back together and run it to get the car all set up for a small block.....previous leaning...

Well that makes sense.......I did however find pioneer melt plugs on the head frost plugs......so at some point not too long ago they were put on......is there anyway to back track through pioneer to find out when???

I got my engine home....(1975 360) pulled the 2 barrel manifold off of it....and then the valve cover......somebody........stuck 318 heads on this 360......3769973 casting number......Why....why would someone do that?......My question is.......the heads are fresh apparently.....nice soft...
