    340 Rebuild Checklist

I like what everyone else has been telling you. I start a new build by tapping out every threaded hole. Wash the block down with soap and water and brushes. I use lots of compressed air to blow out every crevice and hole. Never let the cylinders dry on there own. They will rust instantly. WD-40...

    Cam break in check list

I'm with you on this one. Weather permitting, I'd do it out in the driveway. I about burned the garage (and car) down once when I did the first fire up my Challenger. (pun intended) Make sure the tranny cooling lines are tight. Trust me, tranny fluid spraying on hot headers will ignite...lol. I...

I'll throw my 2 cents in. Obviously replacing the rocker is the best solution. However, I think Loctite can be used. Just remember that all Loctites are not created equal. They are pretty much the same thing just different strengths. For this type of application I'm thinking Loctite 290 is your...

Maybe it is a mass production thing. Maybe they use the same lifter body for hydraulics and solids and then change the internals.

This is something you have probably already looked at but make sure the rocker arm isn't hitting the valve spring retainer. The different installed spring height is a little concerning. Hopefully the retainer isn't interfering with the rocker arm. If it is you may need a different length push...

    340 block 360 crank build

I'm not sure what the point of doing this is. A 0.030 over 340 with a 360 crank will get you 372 CID. A 0.030 over 360 ends up at 365 CID. Sounds like a lot of effort for only 7 cubic inch gain.
