    Champion radiator

As a side note, I've got a Champion 22" in my 440 Dart. Fixed blade fan w/no clutch. Had to modify the radiator mounting tabs to push the radiator forward 1/2", but the combination seems to be keeping the engine cool. SUPER tight clearance. Maybe 1/4" on front and 1/8" clearance from front...

    70 duster 440 radiator

That's a mombo shroud. Love it...can eat dinner off that dude!!! LOL. You have similar set up as me with regards to the rigid fan with a spacer. Space is at a premium with these things. I have a Champion 3 Row....we'll see if it cools with the new fan setup.

    383 Duster Radiator/Mechanical Fan Combos

I've had the same issues with a 440 in a 72 dart. 3 row champion radiator. I have an AC compressor that extends as far forward as water pump pulley face which causes additional issues I've moved my radiator forward 1/2 inch by relocating mounting tabs on radiator. Running a 18" fixed blade fan...

Mike, I'm not the Original poster with the problem...was just trying to educate myself. I was just curious. I basically run my truck on Recur all summer and don't have any issues. Regards, Jason

Blend door? Recirculate a/c inside air vacuum?

Mike, Aftermarket AC systems are Recirc only....I'm currently putting a Classic Air system in my dart. Are the old systems different somehow? Just curious. Regards, Jason

    Aftermarket A/C systems

Currently installing a Classic Auto system in my dart. They've been very helpful, but directions are sh%t. I believe they sell Air only universal kits. I went with them as they're local, and the evac case is serviceable...simply unscrews to open it. Not a molded close system. It's really a...

Big block + large rad + Mechanical fans = what fits?

Champion 3 row rad in 72swinger with a 440. Had about 2 3/4inches to work with between rad and water pump. I got a derale flex fan with 1" spacer. Clears rad by 1/2. I'd much rather have a clutch setup..but this was the easiest solution for now. Not one person has ever posted how far forward...

    Radiator's

http://www.championradiators.com/dodge-dart-22-inch-core-big-block-radiator-1966-1974 I got the 3 Row one from Champion. It dropped right in...one out of the four holes didn't line up with my radiator support....so I just drilled one. No biggie. Haven't ran it yet though.

    $40 for a can of Freon? I think /not/.

Another vote for Red Tek. Used it multiple times with great success. Super cheap to...think I paid something like 6-7 bucks a can. Worked great.
