68 Barracuda Front Side Marker Light

Two locking pliers were required, it seems Chrysler put thread sealer which makes sense to keep moisture/water out, over 50 years it solidified and become more of an adhesive, making a straight forward fix not so much.

:BangHead:Anyone else have problems unscrewing the socket from the back of the housing on a 68 marker light, I tried liquid wrench, pliers, locking pliers, any insight here is much appreciated, just need to replace the bulb and don't want to damage this light assembly, if the part was an old...

68 Barracuda Front Side Marker Light

Hi CudaJunction, I tried to unscrew the socket off the housing and it won't move, unless it's a reverse thread I'm going to apply a bit of liquid wrench and try again, I wouldn't mind if the light was decrepit but its a NOS piece.

68 Barracuda Front Side Marker Light

Hi, I need to replace the bulb in the round marker light on my fender, I took the assembly out, is the socket on the back of the housing the same set up as the tail lights? where it pulls out and pushes back in, its giving resistance at the moment and I don't want to break it. Is the replacement...

    Dash Lights

My factory dash lights are bright with higher RPMs ( example car on choke or car moving), but become very dim when the car is stopped, yet the 6 Autometer gauges always have the same consistent brightness if the car is stopped, moving or not even running. What's up with that?

What exactly is a "mini starter"

On my 68 Cuda tried a MP mini starter and still had clearance issues due to the headers even with the heat shield off, ended up buying a clockable starter and problem was solved.

    Starter Clearance Issues

Maybe a clockable starter will fix your problem, it fixed my problem when there was no way to get the MP mini starter to fit in my car. Check out robbmc starter website www.robbmcperformance.com , only problem is most clockable starters cost huge.

    hids in mopars ??

As far as it doesn't matter what is attached to the car as long as it is properly aimed how about these bulbs. You think you can aim these properly and still be safe for others on the road? Not using HID headlamps on my car and have no intentions on doing so, I'm happy with my halogen seal...

    hids in mopars ??

I don't care what people run for headlights on their cars, then can duck tape flash lights on the front of the car for all I care, just as long as the beams have been set up properly, so I'm not being blinded by the beam directly in my face.

Hi, my factory gauge lights including my 4 Auto Meter gauge lights stopped working all at the same time last night, but the actual gauges all still work as they should and every other light on the entire car works perfectly fine. Is it safe to say this is a blown fuse, sorry I have a hernia on...

Turn Signal Question, Please & Thanks

4spdragtop good question, I was always under the impression that there was one flasher switch for the turn signals and a seperate one for the 4 way flashers. I did hold the turn signal flasher in my hand a few minutes ago and it did make a clicking noise when the right signal light was on, but...

    Crossfire Distributor Cap

Hi pishta, that is the cap I'm talking about, all the crossovers are done underneath the cap so the wires on top can all be installed side by side.

    RobbMc mini starter

Hi wazoo64, yes I have the RobbMc starter on my 68 Barracuda 340. I tried the Mopar Performance mini starter, as compact as it may be, it still would not clear the header pipe(I have hooker headers on the car not T.T.I). I felt beating the tar out of my header was not an option. Where the...

    FBO Ignition?

I've done exactly what Dan is mentioning, eliminated the M.P. ECU and the ballast resistor on my 68 Barracuda 340 and installed an AC Delco D1906. No need to carry spare ECU'S and ballast resistor's in the glove box anymore.
