    You might have a problem finding the proper size ring connectors for the alternator and starter relay. And don't forget the fusible link.

    According to google on the NGK site the lower the # the hotter the plug. FR4 is hotter than FR5!!

    Try a jumper across the ballast resistor as a test. It sounds like someone added a 40 amp fuse in place of the fuseable link.

    Rule of thumb - fuseable link wire should be 4 wire sizes smaller than main feed. I ran #8 wire from the alternator to the starter relay with last 6 inches of #12 fiseable link wire.

    Rule of thumb - 4 wire sizes smaller than main wire. I ran #8 from the alternator to the starter relay with 6 inches of #12 fuseable link wire. Not sure what size fuse but I blew a 30 amp before I went with the fuseable link.

    At Napa it's called primary wire. I han #8 from alternator wih #12 fuseable link to the starter relay. Solder and shrink vrap connection.

    Installing a new stereo in the dash...help please..

    I put mine in the glove box and use the remote control the stereo came with. Original am radio still in the dash. Truck speakers under the front seats.
