    yeah ill start checking wires and ground again. i was thinking that it was the distributor because there is power to the coil, but its not triggering anything to spark. Im now thinking a wire could be fried at the harness inside the plug on the firewall.

    part of the gauge studs were bent and we put it back into shape. ill look at it saturday and check everything out

    Wow thanks for the info. The amp gauge was a bit tweeked and we did work on it so ill start there. Also now knowing all power goes through there gives me a good starting point. Thanks for the info.

    so we started the car (69 valiant 273) and drove it into the garage, and decided to work on the dash that the last owned never finished putting back together. well we cleaned it up, replaced missing screws and what not, put it back in and now, for whatever reason get no power to the dash...
