I have them on my 76 340/ 4 speed with P/S. Mine fit great. no dinging them up. Mine don't drag over speed bumps either unlike the hookers I had.

I replaced my Hooker comps which got beat to hell by speed bumps with some cheapo summit brand and I haven't had an issue. Now if I went all dukes of hazzard then all bets are off.

I put summit brand (patriot) brand on my Dart and they went in easy, don't hit anything, and are up high enough that they don't drag over speed bumps.

I disagree, I run them on my Dart and have not had any issues with them. I replaced my Hooker headers with these with no regrets.

Summit still offers the hooker fenderwell exit headers and JEGS offers the Headman hustlers which has the 1 7/8 primaries and 3 inch collectors

I've used the summit brand exhaust kit in the past. I was happy with it.

I just ripped off my hookers because they scraped, leaked,(even with percy gaskets) had to beat the hell out of them to clear anything in the engine bay. They were near impossible to put the bolts in the flanges due to the tubes. I've heard hooker had a bad batch make it through their quality...

I think it's easier to pull the engine then drop the headers in. I just put a set in last month on my 340 4 speed car with the engine in and I invented a couple new curse words in the process.

If loud and obnoxious is what you crave, use the Summit turbos. I spent an hour trying to figure out what was rattling on my car after I put them on, turns out it was my garage door.

What size is the outlet on the 72/73 manifolds? Or shoud I say what size pipe will be fitting up to it?

weld a nut on it after it cools use a 50/50 mix of ATF and acetone for penetrating oil. Then wrench it out
