    TTI head pipes from manifolds

I'm using them on my 70 Duster, but with the whole tti 2.5" system. Fit is excellent, once you twist & turn them into just the right spot.

    Header evac with mufflers

My buddy used a crankcase evac system his 455 Pontiac. It cured his leaky rear main seal, and seemed to find him a little more power. On his car it worked just fine with mufflers, but he did run Dynomax bullets, or Flowmasters and no tailpipes...

    273 to 360 exhaust

Years ago I had the same issue. The 360 head has a raised boss at the air injection port, and the 273 manifold wraps in very close to the head. I had to grind the edge off the boss to get the manifold to sit flat. I guess you could grind the manifold, but I don't know if there's enough...

    exhaust drone/harmonic resonance

I know this is an old thead... But I've still got a grotesque drone right at 1900-2100 rpm. I still have the same combo, mild 360, 340 manifolds, TTI H-pipe system into Dynamax turbos, with turndown tailpipe tips. I have added a full box of Dynamat, with no change. I know that an H or X...

    Early a exahust suggestions?

Sorry, by 'air injection boss' I mean the raised casting that the air injection holes are located in. The outlet for the left side mainfold curves in very close to the lower edge of the head, and the 70's/80's head has those raised castings/bosses that the 60's head didn't. The outlet of the...

    Early a exahust suggestions?

It was like 12 years ago when I did mine, and I can't honestly remember if it was the air injection boss on the head, or the side of the block that was the issue. With the manifold unbolted from the pipe, and the gasket out of the way you should be able to see or feel where the manifold is...

    Early a exahust suggestions?

Like 66fs said, the driver's side 273 manifold fits very tight to the head. On some later 360 heads, the air injection boss interferes with the manifold. I had to grind some off the head for the manifold to fit flush. You really don't have to take much off to make it fit.

    Early a exahust suggestions?

I had a 66 Canadian Valiant(a US dart) with a 360 with 273 manifolds, we built a 2" Y-pipe in to a 3" single, with a big Walker/Thrush turbo muffler and a 3" single tailpipe. Lots of room for the 3" pipe. The 273 manifolds were defiantely the choke point, but they were the only thing I could...

    exhaust drone/harmonic resonance

My previous exhaust was patched together from a bunch of leftover pieces. Severely abused Hedman headers, rusty 2.5" front pipes into polished stainless Borla Pro XS mufflers and stock replacement tailpipes. The tailpipes had the crimped bends and funneled down from 2-1/4 to 1-7/8 at the tips...

    exhaust drone/harmonic resonance

I was just going to start a thread about the same thing. In my case it's a 360, 340 manifolds, TTI 2.5" H-pipe with Dynomax Super Turbos. From 1500-2000 rpm, I feel like one of the aliens in 'Mars Attacks" when their heads explode.

    TTI system questions

Here's what I ran into. If you assemble the system complete with headpipes starting at the rear, you can't raise the front up into place. The suspension is in the way. If you attach the headpipes to the manifolds then try to raise the rest of the system, you can't slip the headpipes into the...

    TTI system questions

Is there two different H-pipes for A bodies? A 108" & 111" wheelbase versions? The H-pipe for my Duster seems like it's too long. Do I need to cut 3" off? Also, everyone will tell you to start with the tailpipes when installing a TTi system. That will work great if you have headers, but...
