    Headers VS Manifolds

I posted the link for the shorty headers because they are a replacement for the stock magnum truck manifolds. My thought on that was that if the truck manifolds would fit in your app, maybe these headers would also work. I believe that they are a bolt-in on a later A-body. I mentioned that I...

    Headers VS Manifolds

I have talked to Ebay stainless header customers that say they are very happy with the headers they bought. Since they are designed as a replacement for the stock iron truck manifold's, they may work well for us A body types in milder apps...

    2.5 inch or 3 inch

My bud built his own set for his SBC powered 71 Maverick running S/G. He raced it in some Quick races, too. Best of in the mid 7's on nitrous! His exhaust was worrkin! LOL What you are really payin for with those guys is the quality and the lack of compromise on the headers construction...

    2.5 inch or 3 inch

Yeah, his stuff works but that level of exhaust is well beyond what I can afford to buy. I could use his ideas to help myself build my own.

    2.5 inch or 3 inch

Moparwedden, a large high flow exhaust pipe does not mandate that it be loud. You can use big pipes, oval if required for clearance or trickness=P~, and make it as quiet or as loud as you like. I'm assuming that you have issues up there with sound level laws...you can use a quieter muff with...

    2.5 inch or 3 inch

www.spintech.com has some really cool exhaust tubing options. You can run oval tubing and have way more flow and still maintain your ground clearance and make it past the gas tank + the Spintech's sound killer! pricey but.....

    TTi Headers and 4 speed

Yes, the fix is to lengthen the pushrod that comes off the pedal assembly. That will give you the travel required. I cut the pushrod in half and used a simple piece of pipe that fit over the pushrod and welded it. I don't remember how much I had to lengthen it, but I did not do anything to the...

    TTi Headers and 4 speed

Yea! After how many years that they have sold those headers and they now admit there is a problem with an Abody/4speed car??? They still don't mention under the list of attributes...BSing the customer = bad business practice.....FOCK EM!!!!!

    TTi Headers and 4 speed

I had to nearly bottom out my push rod adjustment at the z bar and then cut and extend the push rod coming off the pedal assembly.:angry7: I was pretty pissed off because TTI was full of crap on a couple things. 1. They claimed that the headers could be installed with the engine in...

    single exhaust for 318...what size??

The single exhaust is a good thing when done right. If you want to do a little custom work, try this: Run your header collectors down to 3" pipes and into a 3" merge collector. Run the 3" pipe to a 3" Flowmaster and then out to the left. It will sound good and perform well. Very simple...

    Deceiving exhaust sound

yup, 2.25" pipe with x pipe, a good muffler..all the way out the back.

    Deceiving exhaust sound

If you are driving your car and someone is driving along down the road in the lane to your right, the sound will be bounced off of that car and back to your ears. P.S. It would sound better if you brought the pipes all the way out the back....and an x pipe really smoothes it out and adds power.

    Deceiving exhaust sound

Medion, what mufflers are you using? As daredevil said, you are only hearing one side when you are driving and the sound is probably also resonating pretty good inside the car because of where your exhaust ends. Do you have any pics?
