    Barracuda Ride Height?

Yea, I will drop it a couple inches to put the tire around the bottom of the fender. I don't think I'll have to roll the lip, seems to be clearance in there.

    Barracuda Ride Height?

I have 18X11 Rims with 315/30/18 tires. Tires are only 25.5" diameter. Wish I had gotten something a little taller to fill the wheel well more. But it appears I am stuck with those as I can't find a taller 18" tire in that width. I did minitub the rears and have a Reilly Motorsports 4 Link rear

    Barracuda Ride Height?

I've seen the pics of the 2X4 stands before, haven't gotten to a point where I thought I needed them, maybe i'm there now. I jacked the rear up higher and the distance only changed 3/16", slip yoke will have 1" travel, so it doesn't seem like a huge deal to have the ride height exactly where...

    Barracuda Ride Height?

18X11" Rims, 26" tall tires. How tall are you tires? I like the stance on yours. What is the distance from the center of the rear axel to the fender lip? I also have 3" tailpipes to fit, I'll have to get them in again. If I put it on the ground to get the stance I won't be able to fit under it...

    Barracuda Ride Height?

Hello, I am wondering what a normal rear ride height is. I'm measuring for a driveshaft, car is on stands. Got a 5.7, TR6060, 8 3/4 with RMS suspension and 26" tall tires. I have the rear jacked up so that there is 2.5" of clearance from the tire to the wheel well. It looks good there, not...

    Who's got Flaming River columns?

Thanks! I'll stick with what I have now. Bought the mounts a year ago, don't have packaging to return. On another note.... you have a link to what you did with your gauges? I'm putting a 5.7 in, still haven't decided on wiring harness/ecu and gauges Thanks

    Who's got Flaming River columns?

Trimmed the dash, flipped the mount and added about an inch of spacers. Will put the wheel right where it needs to be.

    Who's got Flaming River columns?

Thanks for the input everyone! I flipped the mount upside down. I have another dash frame that already had the radio hole cut out, so I just trimmed a spot for the bracket to fit up between where the studs mount. Looks like I will need 1" spacers and some longer bolts to test fit it. I didn't...

    Who's got Flaming River columns?

They're probably not gonna do much for me. I'll just have to cut the tabs off this $100 bracket and get them welded down 1/2" to get to column up where I need it.

    Who's got Flaming River columns?

Hi, Got at the tilt flaming river steering column for my 67 Barracuda. Used the mounts that they sell, hung the dash in, put a seat in and got a 13-3/4" steering wheel. It looks to me like the stock steering column might sit up a bit higher than this does. With the column tilted all the way...

How much trouble will it be to rebuild the front end?!

i used the same PST kit, however i didn't notice that it only said 2 outer tie rod ends. I wanted them all replaced so I had to buy the inners seperatly. Also for tools, if you have a big crescent wrench or pipe wrench, use that to get the upper ball joints out. And instead of pressing the...

    upper ball joints

you don't need the "socket", use a pipe wrench or big crescent wrench. Even if you have to buy one that will work you still have a tool that will do lots of jobs, not just one.

67 barracuda upper ball joints ?????

XV Motorsports A Body Rad Support

I got a set too, I like them. They don't release the best when you are putting them on, but they definitely make me feel safe.

    Manual steering to Power steering

you could probably swap the column out and sell the one you took out. I had to get an adapter to lengthen my column (i swapped power for manual), and the adapter was $90 itself.

    run power steering w/o belt?

i rebuilt the front end myself and borrowed my neighbors tool to set caster and do the alignment. So i'm sure it is not perfect. I set them to what to book said, but i can't remember if they are set to toe in or out. I'll look into it and set the toe in if it is toed out. I thought that...

    run power steering w/o belt?

haha, it certainly is. i bought the car 3 years ago to drive and do a little work on while i restored the Barracuda. Now i have $13,000 in the dart (it still needs body work), i've driven it 500 miles, and haven't touched the Barracuda. its a big snowball... Steve

    run power steering w/o belt?

i've seen the price for a new manual box at $400, but i haven't looked around too much yet. if i'm gonna spend $400 on that, why not just drop $1,200 and get a rack and pinion setup... thanks for the info! Steve

    run power steering w/o belt?

i dont like the feel of the power steering, the car tends to easily wander with it. I took the belt off the power steering pump the other day and i like the way that feels alot better. I am not going to convert it to manual right now or i will never get to drive the car, i will wait to...

    alignment specs

hi, I rebuilt the front end on my 70 dart, and now i need to do an alignment. A neighbor bought the tools to do it so i can do it myself since his tools have instructions with them. the only other thing i need is the specs to adjust it to. does anyone know what the are/where i can find them...

    adjusting torsion bars

Rebuilt my front end, got the car back on the ground, and the service manual tells me that i need to adjust the torsion bars to the correct ride height. However, they do not give me the correct height or where to measure it from. I'm sure someone here knows and can help me with it. Thanks Steve

sway bar doesn't seem to fit

I'm rebuilding my front end and i installed the spindles today, but can't go any farther since year one likes to take their time with shipping my disc brake conversion. So since i do have the new sway bar from p-s-t i decided to put that on. However i'm not sure if i have the correct bar or i...
