4.5 feet of tubing at .095 weighs 5.46 pounds I doubt that the strap bars and slugs weigh 2 pounds.

just weighed it and the bar with the brackets removed bare is 7.5 pounds..the full length of the tubing is 56 inches including the bends.

I'm going to weigh the damn thing myself and the clevis and slugs can't weigh that much.

Funny how reducing the diameter by 50% only gives another .020...lol its more like .12 but I will conservativly estimate that is is more like .095

I am going to run it. the vendor probrably does not know the difference between radius and diameter. not every one has an engineering degree. they just sell them they dont make it.

I did the math my self using a chart from a steel tubing vendor and It seems that the wall thickness is somewhere between 0.095 and 0.15 seems plenty thick to me.

I would say 1.25. now how did you determine wall thickness? I would like to know. seems like its going to be higher than your first estmate.

The diameter of the bar is not 2.5 inches. so let me post a pic of the actual measurement and come to a verdict. Thank you this is good.

Not seeing the arguement over the "pivot points" the bar in the crash pic shows all the mount points intact and nothing pivoted the bar bent thats all
