well in that case if they are for a mopar then they should be a direct fit. So clamping the springs would definatly help...id try adding a couple clamps to the front and removing some from the back segment

Hey Frank, dont know if i can be of much help here...when you say brand x, you mean chevy or ford? because if you do, then that means the front segment is a different length possibly meaning your rearend is in a different position as well?? either way though, i would guess that traction bars...

point me to where i can find both for that price please. and why would you say i should change the pitman arm? is their a benefit?

so it obviously isnt collapsable anynmore then right? id rather keep it collapsable since its a street car and thats a safety feature id like to have what if i was to pull the shaft out to the correct length, would it still be able to collapse after that? would it even be safe to run it like that?

hey guys, id like to convert my power steering to manual steering without breaking the bank...I know i have a manual box somewhere in my garage although im not sure what year vehicle it came out of (do they all interchange? i have a 71 if that helps) and id like to use it with the least money...

BINGO! it seems that the design of traction bars just gets in the way of the inherent design of mopar springs, which work like a traction bar in a way...i say you dont even need SS springs either, just clamp the hell outta your front segments, unclamp the back clamps (or leave one if you want)...

hey i asked my pops, and he said it was nylon...cost him a buck to buy the giant chunk (we had enough to make one for me and his dart, and probably a couple more...the delrin was more money)...as far as the maching goes, it doesnt take too long...i cant see it being too expensive, but then again...

actually, just to add to that...we tried to drill into the nylon and use a screw to hold in the bushing, but it was pretty useless as the nylon just got torn up, and it was snug to begin with...i keep saying nylon, but its a hard type, not soft by any means...anyways hope this helps!

YES I DO! LOL when converting my column, my dad insisted we get rid of that tube...and when my dad gets set on it, we do it lol...anyways we removed the tube and my dad bought a peice of plastic (i want to say hard nylon, but im not 100% sure)...anyways, it was about a couple of inches...
