74 to 67 disc brake swap

got my front disk from a 73 and just used the upper control arms and spindles/calipers. Only thing I had to do special was swap the left/right calipers around - they hit the sway bar the original way from the 73, and had no turning radius. Also put on the 73 master cylinder and prop valve but...

If you want sbp rear drums, I have a set. Just upgraded my 67 Dart with 8 3/4" rear end from sbp to lbp - also have the sbp axles with the factory bearings.

67 Dart Disc Conversion brake hose too short

Had to cut off some of the treads on one of the lower ball joint screws that hold the ball joint to the spindle. They were sticking out too far, hitting the sway bar bracket on both sides, keeping the wheels from turning in all the way. Now my turning radius is back to normal with the disc brake...

67 Dart Disc Conversion brake hose too short

Thanks for all the help. After bending the 75 Dart disk brake line hoses they look about the same as what your pictures showed using the Volare hoses. Just put a pair of 205x14x70 tires on with 70 Ralley 14x61/2 or 7" wheels and it looks like they will work- they stick out a little more than...

67 Dart Disc Conversion brake hose too short

Just bent the hose as you said and it works OK. Thank you very much, I didn't think that piece would bend without breaking. Did you have any issues with tires due to the disc spindles stick out farther? My new wheels have the same 4" or so offset as the small bolt pattern ralley wheels I have on...

67 Dart Disc Conversion brake hose too short

I am converting my 67 Dart from drum to disk brakes. I got Disk brakes and upper control arms from a 75 Dart. Had to put calipers on the back side because they hit the sway bar when on the front. Bought new disk brake hoses for a 75 Dart but they won't work. Anybody have a solution? Also...

need some help before i drive this car off a cliff.

I bought one of those one man brake bleeders and it didn't work for crap. I finally remembered how I did it in the old days. I got some wood, cut to different links, opened up one of the drum brake bleeders, slowly push down brakes - do not let up - install wood between brake pedal and steering...

Anybody know about 2 1/4" rear brakes on 67 Dart

No, haven't tried that because have to order brakes, just can't go to store and look at them. They measure the same as the fronts which are supposed to be 2 1/4" and they are. Going to take off the front drum again and relook.

Anybody know about 2 1/4" rear brakes on 67 Dart

Just need new linings, everything looks fine except the 2 1/4" width. Thanks for the info, just looked up a 73 and 75 Dart and they use 10x2 1/2" on rear. I can't find any car that uses 2 1/4" shoes on rear - measured it quite a few times and this is supposed to have original rear end in it.

Anybody know about 2 1/4" rear brakes on 67 Dart

I recently bought a 67 Dart Gt and is supposed to be mostly original. It has the 273 Commando with Auto transmission and a 8 3/4" rear-end posi-trac with 3.23s. The car had been sitting around for 7 years and brakes weren't working so I'm in process of redoing brakes. It has 10" drums all the...
