Edelbrock Pro Flow 2 EFI system for Dodge 360

There is a Summit 10% discount code. I haven't used it personally but have read it works. It would be a huge savings when used on that EFI 10% off for $75 or more til 8/19/2010. Code 2RETYV

    really high idle

Vacuum advance distributor? If so, is the hose connected to a timed port? Does it idle ok then idle high after revving the motor; or does it just idle high without goosing the throttle? I'm thinking the advance in your initial timing raised your RPM's up enough to increase the vacuum open and...

    Oil breather

I ended up buying an oil breather filter, like the older Fords had. The plastic holder for the filer has a 90 degree bend in it and I drilled a hole in the flat part of the air cleaner base and clip her in. The hose is 5/8" dia, like the heater hose.

    Oil breather

On stock valve covers from a 67 small block, the oil breather cap has a hose that runs to the air cleaner. Has anyone figured out how to connect the hose to a chrome aftermarket cleaner?

    fuel line question

The 3/8 barbs are available, maybe your NAPA didn't have them. You could always get one of the glass fuel filters, they come with different sized screw in barbs that go into each side of the filter. Probably a lot cheaper than going with Edelbrock's kit. I put 5/8" heater hose over the 3/8"...

    secondaries wont open

Holley says you really shouldn't feel the secondaries (vacuum) open, it should be a smooth transition. This is from the Holley site: "The secondaries will not open by free revving the engine. The engine needs to be under a load before they will open. If you are still uncertain if they are...

    fuel line question

The original line on my '67 is 5/16". If you're willing to use hose, all you need to buy is the barb (connector) that screws into the fuel pump for the correct diameter hose. Just take the old connector with you and tell the parts guy what diameter hose you will be using. With that being said...

    Unsilenced Air Cleaner

    Thank ya gentlemen.

    Unsilenced Air Cleaner

The unsilenced air cleaners from the 60's, will they fit on top of a Holley? The Manicini ad that just came said they're back in stock. Thanks

    Air cleaner

Cool, thanks for the responses. I'd hate to plunk down the money people are asking for the unsilenced air cleaners then find that it won't fit.

    Air cleaner

Will a factory 4bbl air cleaner, either unsilenced or snorkled, fit on a Holley carb; Avenger 670 to be exact? Thanks

    Magnum Heads

Edelbrock makes the intake gaskets for the Magnum, which is what you will need to use unless the heads are redrilled with the LA intake pattern. Part number 7277. The stock gasket set comes with the plenum gasket, which you don't need, and is quite a bit more expensive. I got mine from Shucks...

    Kickdown, Throttle Cable/Bracket??

You can get the Lokar kick down cable, throttle cable and mounting bracket for substantially less. There is even a generic version which is a bit cheaper. Mancini seems high priced on the setup. The hot rod shop near me is comparable to online prices and doesn't charge tax on cash transactions...

    Vented gas tank

Vent isn't clogged. Disconnected if and blew air into the tank. I could hear the tank pop like a plastic bottle. I'm going to pull the tank if I can get the filler tube out of the tank.

    Vented gas tank

My 67 does have the tube coming from the tank to the top of the filler neck. I guess I can disconnect it and blow some air thru it; I should hear gurgling if it's not blocked. If the cap is not vented, where does the venting occur? The FSM states that a blocked vent tube (paraphrasing) can cause...

    Vented gas tank

Two part question. First one...if a vented tank has a non vented gas cap, would it stop the gas flow, sort of like vapor lock? Second, how can I tell if the cap is vented? I was out speeding around..err....driving and it just stalled. No fuel pressure. This happened last year and I changed the...

    Holley carb tuning advice

I'm running an LD340 with a 1" 4 hole spacer. Stumbled with or without the spacer. Tomorrow I'll plug up everything and give it a shot. That and cover the breather hole on the valve cover. Also, A Freudian slip, should've been "the PO put the otor together" not "mother together". guess...

    Holley carb tuning advice

Thanks for the replies. I made a typo, it has around 15 INCHES (ok, 2 typos) at idle in neutral and drops to 11 in drive idling around 650 RPM.. The idle is smooth at 1 and 1/2 turns of the screws, turning them out further was to try and get rid of the stumble. Pulled the sight plugs and the...

    Holley carb tuning advice

The cam isn't too radical, .470 lift with 224 dur @.050. The initial is setup at 16 deg per FBO's instructions. Moved the inital between 10 and 20 deg and no change. I'm even running Rhoads lifters, more so for the mechanical lifter sound than the low RPM benefits. I'll be swapping over to...

    Holley carb tuning advice

750 vac sec on a 360. To get it to rev without stumbling from idle or getting a single backfire, I had the idle adj screws out 4 3/4 turns, feels like they want to drop out. My question, is an increase in primary jets, different power valve or squirter the answer? Stock 70 pri jets, 6.5 power...

    Oops...changed the cam

Thanks for all the info. Changed the jets from 62 to 64 and the power valve from 6.5 to 8.5. The Dart runs great now, can't wait to get the new convertor in. Also going to order the FBO ignition this week.

    Oops...changed the cam

I had a smart idea and changed the cam. Went from an Edelbrock Performer cam the previous owner had installed to Comp Cams 270H-10. Rest of the 360 consists of 8.5 compression, LD-340, Mopar performance ignition with orange box (soon upgrading to FBO system), Rhodes lifters, stock 360 heads and...
