i dumped the viscous fan when did b/b conv got a nice spal skinny electric sucker fan, can bring it in off switch after you stopped or in traffic<i gone mechanical temp guage too just to get accurate reading on whats what>electric pump? mm, they only run for so many hundred hours life not...

hello! redid test, cold, this time held throttle open, readings anywhere between 9 <130psi>{is that low?} and 9.5 bar. squirting oil in bores made no difference to readings.told my engine had a rebuild 15 years ago probobally using factory pistons etc,with a low spec block is it worth changing...

cheers for that, im thinking its a head problem not rings as the compressions not low just bit varied and the engine was laid up for bit before i fitted so possible rust on valves or just heads crap.

done a compression test on my car today, a 440ci unknown history, runs nice,no burning oil/losing water,want to eventually change heads to ali as 906s and have difference of over a bar between first two cylinders .whats the chances of my heads being poor valve clearance or bores worn etc. car...

hi, i have a 440ci, guy selling edelbrock performer rpm heads<60929> and comp cam 23-000-5 he ran them with a holley 750 vac sec and edelbrock dual plane inlet<same as i already have, very handy> these heads and cam give much power increase? he only had on for 1500 miles!!!!! verrrry tempted as...

aye man! thinking its all down to carb not right. usual, was told it was off blah blah, going to see whats what, ie all functioning etc and jet sizes, you reakon 500hp attainable on cast heads but reworked? 440 in my A body heavy, pay me to junk em and go lighter ally!
