HI all, I have a 72 scamp and I want to put the valiant emblems on the fenders. My question is how do they attach? With speed nuts on the posts?? I have a used set of emblems and they dont seem to have any thread marks or anything on them so I thought I would ask.

Evercoat is a clear protective coating that doesnt peel or discolor.

I used evercoat on my super bee finish panel 3 years ago and havent had to do anything but wash it. Of course i had to remove the anodized first and then polish. Lots of work.

I am having problems getting the right window trim clips for the windshield of my 72 scamp. Is the windshield the same as a valaint or a duster. No one seems to have the same size clips as what came off my car. Mine are 3/4 wide by 7/16 tall. Also i have three holes on each side of my a pillars...

You can get them at fastener shops in your area. I used motor city fastener. I then polished them up more. What area of the D are you in. I am going to be buying some but I have to purchase a whole box, which is way more than I need. We can split a box.

I always thought you wanted to apply fillers to bare metal for maximun adhesion so I think you are ok Lou, but I am also no expert. That's how I did it on my car anyway.

Great info. Thanks. Keep it comin. You mentioned doing a guide coat after sanding to find any highs and lows. What do you like to use? Will rattle can primer do the trick? It is easy to remove.

I just use the stuff in a rattle can. Just spray more to make it thicker.

Wow the picture with the F4 paint looks right on. I am going to look all over the car and see if I can find a broadcast sheet or something.

My car didn't come with a fender tag so I just wasn't sure. Maybe I should look under the rear seat and see if the build sheet is under there.

When I use cardboard I use the glossy sided stuff......like from something I bought at the store with the picture on the box. Cut it up into pieces for use. I then throw it away. I agree with Barracuda 64. I prefer to work with fiberglass. At least for me, it doesn't give you the filler...
