I believe the outer ring is flat black, that may be why it looks grey in the pic

66 B'cuda rear window trim question

Can't answer your question for sure, but I don't think they where body color. Judging from the condition of yours, I would say they were blue, but I don't know, on mine all the paint is burned off so right now its chrome. Someone with more knowledge will chime in I'm sure. BTW nice looking piece...

    65 B'cuda rear window removal

Dante's Mopar Parts also carries the window seal, but hang on to the locking strip as I was unable to find the correct one when I did mine. I just scuffed off the chrome, which was in pretty bad condition anyway, and painted it with black vinyl trim paint.

    I finally did it

The hemi scoop will look awsome on that car. Make sure you paint it body color, with its massive size, it doesn't need to be a different color to make it stand out.

    '68 Cuda Fender Emblem Placement

Leanna, If it were my car I would take some real good measurements of the hole location on the driver side fender and duplicate the hole on the pass. fender, that way you wouldn't get anyone asking why the fenders are different. lol Seriously though, you may consider having some domed...

    Anyone have experience with SafeTCaps?

Can't answer that as my car has yet to see daylight since I started the restoration. I doubt they would be any more likely rust than any other part of the car. I did weld mine all the way around, gave them a coat of POR15, and undercoated the entire under side of the car.

    Anyone have experience with SafeTCaps?

I concur, the rusted frame section should be removed while retaining as much of the good metal as possible. The SafeTCap will then, in fact, be the same as replacing the rusted frame section.

    Anyone have experience with SafeTCaps?

I have them on my 66 Barracuda, well worth the money. Very strong and much thicker metal than factory frame section. You can see pics of my install in my restoration thread "The darwin project". Sounds like a fun project, good luck. Maybe start your own restoration thread so we can see your...

***Should I Delete the Trim on 67 Dart***

I say keep the trim, its not all that common and your car is in pretty nice shape. I deleted almost all the chrome on my '66 Cuda but most of it would have needed to be replaced due to its poor condition, way too costly when your a cheapazz like me doing a budget build.

    66 Valiant floor pans??

Hey Paul, I sent you a PM on the shipping, as for size, they cover from the fire wall to about 4" behind the front seat mount, and from the rocker to about 2-3" up the side of the trans. tunnel. I needed to trim about .5" to .75" from the outside edge along the rocker on each side. Mine wasn't...

    Trunck floor quicky

Weld the holes and to help prevent burning through, hold or clamp a scrap of 1/4" thick aluminum behind where you are welding. The weld will not stick to the aluminum and the molten metal can't fall through creating a larger hole.

Hinge pin removal '66 Cuda deck lid

The pin on mine actually broke and I was sitting there with one half of the hinge in each hand. For the life of me I couldn't get the pin out of either piece, I even tried a little heat. I ended up finding a guy on craigs list parting one out and he sold me a hinge for $15. If you can't find...

    stripping paint off grill

I'm not a purist so I go with what looks good. For example, on my cuda grill I used Rustoleum appliance epoxy, Stainless Steel color, where there was silver originally and Satin black rattle can where there was black. Requires a lot of masking but thats part of the fun.

    stripping paint off grill

Try using "0000" steel wool. I used it to remove the paint on the rear wondow louver of my 66 cuda, worked great and did not damage chrome.

Need help mounting bumper on 66 cuda

Thanks retractable, I understand the idea of shims between the bracket and frame, that is not problem. Let me clarify, the problem I am having is more of a bumper height problem. With the bumper in its lowest possible position, the top of the bumper is tight against the rear body panel. I...
