Are these the screws to hold windshield trim clips on a fish?

You could use #6 screws and offset the holes. (Drill new pilot holes next to the old), and fill the old holes. Or weld up the old holes to add a little material. Put a welding blanket down on that paint.

    Dodge dart rear valance problems

My rear valance on my 70 was toast as I got hit on the drivers side quater. I got a salvageable one with damage on only the passenger side and was going to use the welder to make one good one. Then I found an even better valance at a local Pick N Pull yard. Think the price was less than $25...

    Trim fasteners?

I have looked at RT's website and searched for these and can't seem to find them. Not shure if they just don't have em or if there just not listed on their website. I will have to give em a call.

    Trim fasteners?

I need some trim fasteners to attach my side trim to my dart. I need the type that has the barrel that pushes into the hole on the side of the panel and the the clip that attaches the trim pushes in and is a friction/press type fit. All I can find are the type that have a nut from the backside...

Windshield washer reservoir - power vs pump

When my Dart was my daily driver I put an electric pump on mine. Think I bought it at wal Mart or Kragen. I am converting it back to the pump style, going for the original look. I always thought the foot pump and the non electric remote mirror were some of the unique parts of this car.

    How does this trim remove?

It't not easy to get the Catwiskers out. It's even harder to get them out without damaging them. Get a set of picks from Harbour Freight, they have a set that has screw driver handles and different angles like 90 degree and 45 on the end. Bought mine for about $3. then you have to pry on the...

    WARNING! Windshield Gasket SHORTAGES!!!!!!!

I don't smoke and If I were to use gas to clean something I would do it in a very open area. Just a shot in the dark on using something that was otherwise useless, (old gas). I wont chance it though if it might eat up the gasket.

    WARNING! Windshield Gasket SHORTAGES!!!!!!!

Dantes has some in stock now, of course the price went up by about $40. I think we were all duped here, they created a supposed "shortage", then everybody bought all the old ones that were in stock and now they are back with a large price increase.

    WARNING! Windshield Gasket SHORTAGES!!!!!!!

Looks like my front windshield gasket may not be reusable becouse one corner is seperated. The rear one needs minimal cleaning. Would gasoline be too harsh to use? I have 5 gallons of old unusable gas that came out of my Dart's tank. Could probablly drop the whole gasket into the 5 gallon bucket...

Removal of windsheild and rear window

If the front glass is still good with no cracks then I would have a glass guy take it out. 9 times out of 10 I break the front glass. The front is usually pretty easy to get out, just not usually intact. I think once you pull the locking strip it will come out. The rear you can soak in WD...

Best way to remove 72 Dart rear glass?

Try to save your old one as they are no longer being made, hopefully temporary situation, but old stock is hard to find and expensive.

Best way to remove 72 Dart rear glass?

Lots of WD-40, putty knifes from inside and out and muscle. Direct sun on a hot day helps but I did mine in December.

    New Windshield

Very common windshild, most any glass place should be able to get it, usually for under $200. The hard part will be finding a gasket as they are on backorder everywhere right now.

    dodge dart swinger

70-72 is slightlt different than the 73. 70-72 has more bolt holes. I have a 70 that is crunched on the drivers side and a 71 that has a few of dents and a slight bit of rust in one of the mounting bracket holes. I was going to cut them apart and weld together the good parts till I found one in...

    dodge emblom

I have seen them on ebay from time to time. The NOS ones are not cheap. I am looking for a couple NOS ones myself as the ones I have are in poor shape. I was thinking of painting them with chrome paint and seeing how they come out.

    WARNING! Windshield Gasket SHORTAGES!!!!!!!

Is it a bad idea to clean and reuse the old gaskets? I like the cost savings even if I have to use a little elbow grease but will it still seal? I need to find a new front and rear soon or go the re-use route.

    Trunk and Engine Bay Paint

Thanks for the help guys, I guess I will just do it all in base/clear. I was just under the impression that single stage was used on the trunk/engine bay/doorjams becouse it looks better longer with less care, (waxing etc). Either way I will be shooting these areas first as right now it is...

    Trunk and Engine Bay Paint

I am ready to shoot my trunk and door frames, and soon the engine bay too (just have to pull the motor). Is it better to shoot these areas in single stage? I am planning on base/clear for the exterior but was looking to save a bit of $$$ by using single stage in these areas. Also wondering if...

    Body and Paint Questions

Ok, didn't want to but I am on my way to stripping the whole car. Took the hood down to bare metal tonight. I guess if I work proficently at it one panel at a time I could have it stripped in a week. Sanding sucks! The bare metal hood does look sweet though. This car was extremely straight...

    Body and Paint Questions

Starting to think I should just hit it with aircraft stripper. The high spots were where the clear had not flaked off, the spots without clear sanded much faster. Was thinking primer would smooth all this out, maybe not. Not gonna buy any primer until I a sure what paint I will use, still...

    Body and Paint Questions

My car was repainted about 14 years ago. It was a waterbase base / clearcoat over the original paint. They obiously scuffed it up and used primer, however about 5 years ago I was hit in the drivers side quater and pretty much quit washing waxing driving caring for this car. The clear coat...

Best way to cut out a floor pan at a junk yard?

Yeah, Pick-n-pull wont let you bring in any torches, body saws, jacks, batteries, etc. You will probablly need to find another wrecking yard that will remove it for you, most will if they want the business. Pick-n-pull can be a little strange, I have used their hoist to lift a ar when I needed...
