    Panasports, anyone??

Ontos, That is the car!:prayer: Isn't it wild how a car stays in your memory? When they come up for sale don't forget us. Or trade on something. A old lava lamp, some 14" steelies with new tires and matching ittybitty hubcaps, whiskey, a cannon ball ( size depends on how strong the floor is...

Some where on this site is a photo of a car with a set of Western Wheels (Minilite)copy on it......I have looked for it, but??????? Many Porsche wheels are made of magnesium. So they can survive on the street with ease. Keep us updated with what you find out and do.

    Panasports, anyone??

http://www.vintageeng.com/ I believe the wheels are about $1200.00 each and are of the highest quality. Magnesium is a strange metal. Yes its light and strong but it is also porous and corrosion can be a issue. All that being said. I would buy a set if I had the money. To me that is the best...

    Wheels Ever Fail?

Wheels can fail. Most of these I would say is for two reasons. 1. Old wheels. Old metal, brittle, rust , metal type(magnesium). 2. Race wheels being missed used. You dont street drive race wheels., You don't road race drag wheels. When Centerline wheels came into production many people...

Got some fatter tires for the front.

Great looking car. When buying wheels check their warranty for being bent out of true. Lots if not all of drag wheels state they are not for road racing, (centerline, is one I know for sure). One hot trip doing a mountain road of a hot auto-cross can give you a vibration from a bent front...

    Home made 15 x 10 with 5 on 4 1/2 b.c. and dog dish hubcaps.

I haven't seen this done since the 80's. Great job and photos of your work. With that big of a lathe you can split and widen aluminum wheels. We would take 4 factory aluminum wheels and make two wider wheels. you can "chalk that up to Your awesome-ness "

does any body know a shop that can make these

Growing up (the 70's) it was common for machine shops with a large throw lathe to do this work on the side. Ask around. You may find a old school machinest that can do this. This was common on cars that you couldn't get wide wheels for ( Mazda RX3 for one) or you wanted to have big tires under...
