How to prepare for engine dyno?

This^^^^^ My dyno guy sets the engine all up the day before so usually its ready to run when you get there, but other guys are different. Have the engine primed and set to #1. My guy doesn't like the thermostat in, it fights the water pump on the dyno, have it dressed with whatever you want to...

Not a racer but asking a cam question.

This cam would be good too. It may be a bit rougher idle than the Lunati I suggested earlier as the lobe separation is at 110 instead of the lunati's 112. Howards Cams Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshafts 711651-10 I think this engine would make an honest 375-425 HP with a cam like this. Garth

I like your style, Kind of like mine... I built a 1970 dart to be stock looking to the casual observer too... It's a 383 400 HP 436 ft/lbs of torque, custom hydraulic roller cam that idles with 17" of vacuum. Tin valve covers and edelbrock performer RPM painted, heck I even painted the fancy...

How do you get a Suspension to hook, when the track surface is marginal at best

Some good reading here BaselineSuspensions.com.........Launching A Drag Car and here https://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=582861 I would start with some good shocks and an adjustable pinion snubber. If you go with Caltracs you will need good shocks anyway. I would suggest...
