    Meet my new 74 Duster

He probably knew that nice original car was going to be gutted to make something totally different. It's too bad you couldn't find a factory blue car or one in primer.

1973 Gold Duster-Slant 6 -Retirement Gift to Self

Nice! I like the Amber Sherwood you chose, that's what color my Plymouth is. Also, even though you don't care for the shade I take it, the Mist Green is a one-year only color and rare at that, so you have that pedigree going for it. Keep up the good work.

Project Valvo - A Tale of Domestic Ambition

Well, I'm thankful for one thing, and that is that you didn't manage to totally disassemble it for that Volvo idea. I don't know what to say about these projects/threads that start out like they all do, with a grand announcement, then as time goes on you can see the handwriting on the wall...

    New project 73 Dart

Your original car looks familiar:D I picked mine up out of Texas 4 years ago. When you deal with old Mopars sometimes you have to take what comes to you. You needed a car that looks like mine, and I wanted a Valiant that's the color of your Dart, lol. Good luck, will be fun.

    1974 Dodge Dart Swinger Restoration

The radiator just bolts in. 4 bolts, 2 on a side. The "brackets" are made on to the side of the radiator, assuming the correct radiator is still there. As far as the stopping running when letting off the key goes, pick up a new ballast resistor if you haven't yet. White ceramic box on the left...

    1970 duster 340 4spd TIME CAPSULE!

Thank goodness. I figured this would be the "it's for sale" post. If you want it going for the father's day car show, do the work and get it going for the father's day car show.

    MuuMuu101's 68 Dart, A Learning Process...

The car looks great. Maybe it would be a good idea for you to spend more time actually driving and enjoying that car instead of being concerned with large-scale projects. Just pick away at small stuff as you drive it. Guys always think the first thing to do is tear a car apart. Then, they...

    '74 Swinger restoration/build

I've never understood why guys take air conditioning out of cars because it isn't working. It's like, "let's make it so that there's no way it will work now". Or maybe it's so that guys can say "it's supposed to have air". AC is such a value-adder to a vintage car there is no way I would remove...

    74 Dart nighmare Project

Has to be a V8 because oil filter is on the opposite side of the engine from the exhaust on a slant. The engine numbers to look for on a smallblock are a stamping on the front of the block just below the driver side head, and the displacement and casting date are cast into the sides of the...

You do very, very good work. I really enjoy following a build where things are planned out and executed well. Keep up the good work!

She's LUMP! Restore or Part/Scrap? FABO Help!

Don't take this the wrong way, and maybe it's just an analogy for something else but I think by this point I would have seriously considered moving to something either cheaper or paid for. The truck is for sale TOO?

    Chrysler Conquest

That's going to be awesome. I've always liked those cars and the Starion twin. They remind me a lot of an '82-85 Supra. How long do you think the rear-end will last?

Well I don't post much, just lurk mainly, but I'll say I hope you come back. I really like this thread and the Car Hunt thread. When I first started reading them I thought you were either crazy or very annoying, but I learned very quickly you are a gifted story-teller. I think as soon as you...

Weekend trip for 1974 Dodge Dart Sport

That's a great car. It's optioned almost exactly like my '73 except paint and interior color..even the same stripe. I found mine in Lufkin, TX....nice and dry, other than the sun scorched paint. Good luck with it!

73 340 Duster being restored in Maryland

Everybody and their brother has a green Duster. Do something original and stick with the factory color. I think this car is close to it but a bit lighter.

You get a lot of work done:yawinkle: I tune in to this thread each day to keep up with the progress. It's refreshing to see a 4-door being rejuvenated for daily use. I love my '71...it's a pain to keep running and the leaks stopped sometimes, but it's awesome.

    73 dart sport project

My brother did it on his, and to put it simple, you can't unless you use a very shallow intake. With the air-gap, he has just enough room to run either a foam triangle or a short, small chrome open element, neither of which is a good option. Both are against the hood when closed. He's going...

    73 dart sport project

I would buy it if I wanted twins! Seriously though...changing projects doesn't make them get easier, find you time to do them or make it cheaper. It all comes back to you getting out there and doing it. That's not being mean, it's just facts. I understand you have a lot on your plate with...

    Zombie Dart! '72 Dodge Dart

It has emissions fittings. The top tube is the vent line to the charcoal canister and the lower is the fuel feed. The gas tank is Spectra C11E. If you buy one through Adv...oops...the parts store, it's about $396. But, there's the exact same tank offered on eBay with a $140.00 buy it now...
