    My coil get really hot and I've been told the coil should only be "warm" to touch and if its not, there must be some short somewhere in the wiring. Is this true? should I be concern? Thanks Syed

    Hi. I have just converted my '66 slant six mechanical fan to electric fan. Rite now im using a 185F/205F thermo switch for the fan i.e. The fan switch on at 205 deg and switch off at 185 deg. With this setup, the OEM temp gauge shows about 2/3 when the fan cuts in and about 1/2 when the fan cuts...

    Did that a couple of months ago. i.e. rebuilt the carb. Its a Holley 1920 taken from a running car (a fellow forumer's car) which I and my Father in Law rebuilt using a rebuild kit we ordered from Ebay. Ran "perfect" all this while... until very recently that is. Syed

    Hi all As the title says... My Slant6 will cut out intermittently when I make a sharp left turn... sometimes if i manage to "catch" it i.e. shift quickly into N and blip the throttle, the engine will rev back up and will drive fine again... until the next left turn that is... it is fine on...

    its a kit, bought years ago in Perth, Australia for like A$80 but never got the chance to build/install it. I think its at least 5 yrs old. But hopefully all works well. Will keep u updated once fitted.
