I ran headers on my slant for a few years before going to a 360. Even now with a big cam v8 i still miss the sound those slants made when you got into it. My engine didn't look that good though!
Try to put some pliers on it then squeeze the pliers together with channel locks and try to back it out that way. I broke the head off a header bolt once and had to back out the bolt that way.
