    electrical problem i think?

Make sure your module and engine have a good solid ground to the chassis. Start the engine, look at all your ignition wiring for arcing (sparks), listen for popping sounds (arcing). now wiggle the wires going to the ballast resistor, ignition module, distributor, and coil. You might have a...

which carb for the super six?

Actually, there are a lot of reasons to use the super six carb. Subtle differences make it ideal for the six, smaller venturis, different pump cam profile, and Teflon coated shafts. The 318 carb works, the super six carb works better

    super 6 carburetor

yes you are correct, my linkage is a little different from stock because of the headers. yours will line up with the throttle cable. as far as the carb numbers, I don't have a clue to what they are. maybe someone else can tell you what car that carb originally came on. to your original question...

    318 carburater

Actually, the super six carb is a great little carb. Perfect for a stock to very mild 225. Subtle differences from the 318 version are the key, the pump cam has a different profile smaller venturis, Teflon coated shafts. http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Lit/Films/348/. If you have a genuine...

    Dampner out of wack

Get a new dampner. Slant six dampners were notorious for slipping. The rubber ring debonds from the core, once this happens it will keep slipping. Eventually it will come apart. If it's running at the time, it could do some major damage. I had similar problems with mine and once I swapped it out...

    Super six kickdown

yea, it is different. although you can use the long rod from a one barrel on the super six, I've seen it done. you just have to "modify" the bends a bit:thumblef:

    Dual exhaust HP increase?

with an all stock setup, all you really need to do is up-size your exhaust from the 1 7/8" pipe to a 2 1/4" pipe from the manifold back. don't know about HP number gains but you should feel the difference.

    General Slant 6 Input Required

keep in mind that anytime a liquid (gas) evaporates (atomizes), it cools. think swamp cooler. if you don't maintain some heat it becomes harder for the fuel to atomize. even in the desert. notice that I live in Las Vegas, also the desert. by using manifold heat it gives you a more constant...
