    Torsion bars

Okay, you know what I'm talkin' about. I graduated in 1975. Really hurts when I think back on what happened to so many great muscle cars back in the day. I can remember some really nice cars that met a very bad end.

    Improved Handling

The cam bolt does supply the offset in the factory design. The Moog offset upper control arm bushings just allow you to get more offset than the factory design can provide.

    Improved Handling

You seem to be the guy that would know. I plan to use the offset bushings. If I can get that much, can I get away with 3-4 degrees on the street, or should I maybe use a bit less? I've got an original 16:1 manual box I plan to put on my car, and plan to run about a 215 to 225/60 15 radial...

    Torsion bars

Don't know how old you are, but if you have grown up with newer cars then I would recommend a .920 or larger bar. JMO These cars tended to 'wallow" a bit when they were new. I had 340 bars on my car back in the day & I plan to go larger now.

Firm Feel upper control arm interference problem

While I don't like the idea of removing anything from an area like this I think you should be okay. You'll still have the complete weld at the attachment point & most of the stiffness of the bracket comes from the bend & you're also keeping that portion. JMO

    lengthening radius rods?

Just wondering if anybody has actually used those camber bolts. The application info doesn't list them for any Mopar earlier than 1979. Do they actually work on A bodies?

    Iaq shock question

What have you got for springs & torsion bars? If you're running lightweight/slant 6 type suspension you might want stiffer settings on the shocks just to stiffen things up a bit.

    spindle left...spindle right. Crap!

Yeah, but it seems like my kids are always killing the dang batteries in ours. I want to take a picture & either the kids have lost the camera or the batteries are dead. disgust

    spindle left...spindle right. Crap!

Just came in from my shop. The top of the spindle definitely angles toward the front of the car. This is on a set of 10" drum brakes from a '69 Formula S Barracuda.

    spindle left...spindle right. Crap!

I couldn't find a good picture but it looks like the lean or offset is to the front. The top of the spindle leans to the front of the car. I'll try to get out to my shop later & look. I have a set of 10" drum spindles installed on a car I can look at.

    Rearend Question

Automatic or manual trans? I've known people to run one with good sized tires and an auto trans & abuse it a bit. I had wide tires on my car behind my 273 with a 4 speed & broke the spider gears shifting from 1st to 2nd. You gotta' be somewhat nice to them.

    Leaf Spring Pad replacement

Pretty sure those are an F body & later C body deal. Maybe others too, but don't think they were ever on an A body from the factory.

    Manual Steering box couple questions

If somebody could post part numbers for the seals & bearings it would be nice. I hunted for a couple of years before I found my fast ratio manual box & I'd like to go through it before I put it in the car. I looked at the Rock Auto site but their descriptions are a bit vague. Part numbers...

best place to buy leaf springs?

It doesn't matter what kind of car you call about, she knows everything there is to know about it as far as the suspension goes. Definitely knows her stuff. :iconbigg:

    8 3/4 or Dana 60

Somebody posted a picture a couple of days ago of a Dart with a Dana 60 that had offset rear springs & 3" pipes over the axle & out to the rear bumper. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=137003

    Directions

First I would contact PST & ask them for instructions. They are a vendor on FABO. If they can't help, I'm not positive but I've heard that they sell ADDCO sway bars. You might try searching the web for the ADDCO site & comparing pics or part numbers (if you have any) with what they show to...

Problems setting Caster on Rebuilt front end.

When I first bought my Barracuda I took it in to have it aligned. Left it for half a day. Went to get it & the guy hadn't done anything. He said "I just can't get my hands in there on those little Plymouths." If they were't going to do it why did they make the appointment? Or why didn't...

Can/should lower control arms be modified to accept sway bar?

Well, If you don't use them & just mount your springs solid to the frame your rear springs will bind up. So NOT using them would be a disadvantage. But that's probably not what you meant. If you're asking about using longer ones to raise the rear of the car, yes there are disadvantages...

power steering pitman and idler arm on Manual

There was an article in one of the Mopar magazines a few months back & it was discussed some here. It involved shimming something, I think in the steering box (I'm not a power steering guy) that increased the "road feel" & reduced the power assist of the box. It was pretty simple as I recall.

    torsion bar adjuster

I figured it was because he said it was on jackstands but you're right. It needs to have the weight off of the front suspension.
