    wheel hunt!

When I bought my Centerline wheels they weren't listed on the Summit website but I plugged the Centerline part # into the Summit search & they came up as available & at a better price than from Centerline. Always worth a try.

    Wanting a 18x9f 18x10r wheel setup am I crazy?

A 10" wide WHEEL will probably fit in the wheel well & if you use the offset spring hangers to move the springs in you should be able to fit one with a decent sized tire. This allows you to use the full width of the stock wheel well. This doesn't mean you can fit the size tire you want to...

    Rear spacing for 74 scamp

You can drill new holes in the spring perches & the shock plates to move the axle housing back on the springs a little. Watch your clearance to the gas tank. Don't know how close it is on your car but it gets tight on the early cars. You might be able to get away with still using your...

Your backspacing is wrong for getting a big tire on your car. Follow this link & look at post #49. Should be close to answering your question. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=121993&page=3 You can also look here...

How does changing to 15 inch wheels affect my speedometer?

Doesn't change with an OD trans. All that matters is tire size & rear gear ratio.

Tires & wheel sizes for '66 Barracuda

What rear axle does the car have now, 7 1/4" or 8 3/4", & what size rear brakes? What diameter wheels do you want to use, 14" or 15"? What front brakes does the car have, 9" drums, 10" drums or discs? I don't think they make Torque Thrusts in the small bolt pattern but I might be wrong.

    What height for front runners

Everything else being equal, a taller tire should be easier to roll because it's farther from the center of the tire to the edge. More leverage makes it easier to overcome the friction of the bearings & the drag (if any) of the front brakes.

    Biggest Rear Tire Size

This is the kind of info that's not a lot of good because it says nothing about the backspacing or offset of the wheel. It also doesn't mention the car but we can assume it's a Dart Sport or a Duster because that's what the thread is about. But we really need COMPLETE info in a thread like...

    14x8s with 3.25 backspacing on a Swinger?

Don't think it'll work. You need something closer to 4.25" or so, maybe 4.375". I think you'll be way into the fender with 3.25". Maybe you could make it work if you wanted to go WAY OLD SCHOOL with the air shocks filled all of the way up & shock extensions on the bottom of them to keep the...

I agree. Offset shackles & correct backspacing on the wheel should give you plenty of room.

Post your wheel and tire combos.

So, I just went through 11 pages here. Couldn't find out what I wanted to know for sure. What's the largest 15" anybody has managed to safely stuff into the stock sized rear wheelwells of an early (64-66) Barracuda with the offset springs? Has anybody ever managed to fit a 275/60 15? Or is a...

    will these fit

You MIGHT be able to do it if you use the offset spring hanger kit. Would take the right offset rims & would be VERY tight. Probably couldn't let anybody ride in the back seat though. I think there's a thread on what combinations of wheels/tires people are using. Might try searching for it.

    235/ 60 /14 all around?

I think you'll be close on front. Have you test fit the wheel on front? The rim of the wheel will probably be very close to the upper control arm and the tie rod end. Double check there. You might have to crank up the torsion bars to keep the tires from hitting the fender lips on tight...

    Can I loose these 13's??

5 on 100mm is not the same as 5 on 4" Not so sure you can get away with the 5 on 100mm wheels. I'd stick with 5 on 4" wheels as they're made to fit what you have.

    65 dart wheel sizes

You should be able to use a 7" in back with about 4 1/4" backspacing without any trouble. In front you might be able to use the same thing, but I'm not sure. I know that a 14" with that backspacing would hit the upper control arm & possibly the outer tie rod end. I think you'd be safe with a...

Wheel Adapters ?? YA or Nay

It really SHOULD be large bolt pattern by 75 but I suppose stranger things have happened. Officially I think 73 & later are supposed to be LBP but when the car has drum brakes all around there seems to be some question as to what bolt pattern it'll have. Somebody jump in here....Do all LBP...

need stock front wheel back spacing on 68 gts??15x6s/7s up front?? or 14"

I'm pretty sure that if you use a wheel with the same back spacing as what dgc333 has you'll need it to be a 15". A 14" wheel with that backspaccing will hit the upper control arm and possibly the steering knuckle. I had 14x7" wheels with 4 3/8" backspacing & had to run spacers to fit them on...

Head spinning! Seeking advice for tire/wheel fit, '66 Barracuda.

On the back a 7" wide wheel with a backspacing of about 4 1/4" should put the tire in about the center of the wheelwell. I know this from my own experience using a wheel with 4 3/8" backspacing in my 1964 Barracuda with an A Body 8 3/4" rear with the stock 10"x1/3/4" brakes. You might even be...

    Tire and Wheel Measuring

All sounds good, but I suggest you take measurements on both sides of the car. You might find a big difference from one side to the other. I thought I had mine all figured out & then I measured the other side & the difference was huge. Went to the back of the car & bounced it up & down a few...
