    74 Dart w/ 340 6 pack

Just stumbled back across this. It does look different. Only thing I can figure is that it's a combination of it being a straight side shot of the carbs & the difference between the size of a side hung & center hung float bowl. Just guessing? Look at the pics in this thread. Looks the same...

    74 Dart w/ 340 6 pack

One set is reproduction carbs from Summit that I bought a couple of years ago. The others are a new set of Direct Connection mechanical carbs that I've had for over 30 years. Here's a pic of them on a manifold I bought new from my local mopar parts department sometime around 1978.

    74 Dart w/ 340 6 pack

Won't work for me. Mine came from Summit too. Must be a different production run. I didn't even have the carbs bolted to the manifold. They wouldn't even fit if I tried them one at a time in the air cleaner. I tried 6 different carbs. I'll just hit them with a file or something. Not a biggie.

    74 Dart w/ 340 6 pack

Just wondering if your air reproduction cleaner fit okay out of the box? I'm going to have to grind out each air horn opening on mine because none of them is quite big enough to fit over the top of my carbs.

    65 barracuda floor pans

Somebody lists the rear pans for sale but I don't remember who. It was mentioned on here a year or two ago(maybe more). I searched for the post but haven't found it yet. I'll keep looking. Just checked & autobodyspecialt.com lists both front & rear pans for the early Barracuda. $120 each.

The Paddock Inc. Gone - any others out there?

Saw these vendors listed & checked them out. Found some NOS parts that I'd been trying to find for ages listed on Chets web site with pretty good prices. Decided to call him about them (he doesn't have email). He said his web site is in dire need of an update. Of the 4 parts I wanted he only...

Drive Like You Stole it... I did and I will....

Sleeper?!?! Man, from the side that thing looks like Grandma's car! Only thing to give it away is the view of the tires from the rear. I see fun times ahead! :snakeman:

What is the difference between a 1964-66 dart k members.

Opinions vary as to whether or not the exhaust manifolds will fit. If they do, you'll probably have to find a brave exhaust guy to hook pipes up to them but I'm anxious to see the result.

    Not in 14 years

I was planning to fix up a set of casters to fasten to the front bumper mounts so I could move the car around. Your way looks way easier & I already have the stuff laying around the shop!

    Father and Son project

I wish I had that much to work with when I was his age. Can you give any secifics on the wheel & tire combo in back? Is that just a spring relocation but no minitub? What size tires are they? Love how they seem to fill up the rear wheelwells.

    Tri-Power air cleaner/air filter element

Don't have a number or anything but my best guess would be one for a dual quad or tri-power big block Ford from the early to mid 1960s. Not sure, but they might have been longer than yours.

    68 twin turbo dart project.

Yeah, I don't think the size of the back tires is gonna' give anybody any kind of clue as to what's hiding under the hood! :toothy10: Awsome car! =P~ I'd go for a ride in the passenger's seat any day (as long as the pavement is dry)! I'd love to see that thing cruisin' down the street...

Restoration no longer possible (not for the faint of heart)

I agree with the advice to keep saying "NO" to the insurance company. They will refuse to pay, hoping to wear you down. I went through this a few years back with a '63 Cloth Sunroof VW Beetle (like Herbie). Took months of "jumping backwards through hoops of fire" for the other guy's insurance...

    My 64 Barracuda Progress

Wide rear tires and a stock 273 with a 4 speed will break a 7 1/4" rear easily. Ask me how I know.

mopars are still out in the weeds!

This one has been sitting in a back yard about a mile from me for I don't know how many years. I've been planning to ask about it. I notice it has some recent black primer. Maybe they plan to try to save it. Anybody here know what year it is? I'm guessing 1974. Sorry for the lousy pics, I...
