Anyone know where to get replacements for the bolts that hold the steering box to the k frame? Or does anyone know what length and thread count the bolts are? The threads on my bolts have stretched and they wont stay torqued even with red loctite. Btw the car is a '70 dart

It seems to me like the best subframe connector would be the ones that protrude through the floor. You get a full box frame made of nice thick steel AND its tied to the floorboard. Best of both worlds IMO.

So heres a question been burning on me for awhile. I have a fire breathing 98 rwhp slant and a rollercoaster suspension including /6 t bars and no sway bars riding on 14" tires. Outside of body flex symptoms (IE 1/4 panel roof joint filler cracking) would I even see any kind of difference...

I would venture to say that torque boxes do strengthen the whole chassis since convertible cars had them. As to which one is better or if its worth it to do both? I'll be watching....:happy1:

I can tell you according to the scrap yard scales my 70 /6 Dart weighs 3420 with me in it and a 1/8 tank of gas. So right around 3100 lbs. without the driver. A 71 Dart should be close.

I used two 003 springs so mine sits higher than trapsters probably. Do it, you will love your SS springs.

So the lower ball joints on my Dart in my sig is bad. I can't justify paying $200+ at Autozone for ball joints just because they come attached to that...... "thing" BTW, what are the things the lower ball joints pressed into called? It's not control arms or the spindle... Steering knuckle...

I'll be darned! If I knew that, I would have went with those. I was finding XHD's for $230 per pack! But I'm extremely satisfied with my SS springs and they've been on the Dart for a month now, so no looking back!:burnout:
