I was not able to find much info on how to take the colum apart, I removed the turn signal switch and I assume I need a puller to remove the housing that has has the PRND21 and shift lever on it, does this sound correct?

I have a 1969 Barracuda with power steering and a column shift, I am converting it to floor shift and have another rack out of I believe a dart that is Manual steering, cause it is slightly longer. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other cars I can swap a column out of and it will work in...

anyone have any idea why this was done, im going to check out my cuda, as well as a challenger we have that was believed to be a 340 car when i get home...if i remember lol

i cant see the confusion, 100% restores are often called a 'frame off' restoration which isnt quite right since mopars are unibodies. gotta start somewhere, i guess chrysler was just ahead of the times compaired to those other guys:cheers:

thanks for the good info, i can get moog at work cheap so i was deciding what to go with, so even if i want it to handle good the moog stuff will work good? I heard things about squeaks and whatnot and that would bug the hell out of me.

Which kit are some of you guys using, id like to install a kit in my cuda, just mainly bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints, and what not. Should i hold off and wait untill i get discs up front. Id like to maybe autox my car, yet now i got the daytona thinking of making that the auto x'er. I at...

Well my power steering working in my cuda last summer, well over the winter i took it apart to rebuild cause it leaked bad. Well i rebuilt it and everything and now it doesn't work, it has fluid in it, it turns (the pulley) all that but no assist, should i just get a re manufactured one now? :(

you have to get a power steering pulley puller, or just some kind of special puller, i used one to get my pulley off when i rebuilt the pump

thanks for the tip on cutting out a portion of the frame connectors to but them up against the floor :thumbup:

id like to do what that guy did with his frame conectors and but them up against the floor, does this serve any advantage, and do you box the top in or does it not mater? about how long of square tubing do you guys get to do this, id like to do this to my cuda but unsure how long i need the...

yeah this is similar to what id like to do with my cuda, but man its gonna cost alot, good luck with the compititions :)

i also agree i dont like the powersteering too, way to touchy, if i was to convert to manual steering, i am gonna need a new colum, steering box, and what else, is the swap that hard, i might do this more down the road, especially if im gonna autox this car it might get a lil annoying making it...

yeah id just make my own if i was you and had access to a welder it will save you alot, its about half the price to make em then buy em, do the ones you buy only come as a bolt in type, yeah you can weld em, i am. and is it sugested to tie them into the floor/and or rocker pannels. i dont...

i need to look into a 8in 1/4 or 3/4 rear for my cuda too, my small rear will blow out with me driving it hehe :headbang:

isnt there a different kinda of bushings that are better for handling but squeek? i want my cuda to handle but i guess i also dont want it to be all squeek, correct me if im wrong, i thinking kyb shocks(sugest for best) and a bushing kit prolly the same one John got

yeah i have to agree here, when i got my cuda and got the ps working wow its like no resistance, is there anything i can do to make it not so easy i presume no, maybe a bigger pully? :sad1: but then again i didnt like having to turn the wheel of my dart one AND a half turns to turn a corner...

if i wanted to do a k frame swap, for bigger ball joints and bigger isnt like something in the steering is better, remember i want this car to handle in the future, or could i just put all this on my current k frame, o and its got aftermarket mounts like the rubber in between the engine i believe

when i pull the motor to do my 360 swap, would it be a good idea to grind down the crappy factory welds and lay some nice beads down? it couldnt hurt i presume

Well on my cuda, my kframe where the moter mounts are looks to be pretty hacked and welded poorly, id just like to see how they should look maybe im wrong, unless the factory was just that bad :scratch: , also , if i did decide to swap k members, is it better to go 73+abody k frame cause of the...

i was looking into doing this kinda swap, instead of buying a 8 3/4 for 500+ buy a ford 9" for 150 or so, what kinda problems do you guys have, how about u joints, brake line connections, installing?
