Before you spend any more money on that 8.25 rear, did it come with any gear in? If so what ratio is it if not post on the housing numbers on it. One thing you might wanna look at is the rear disc brake setup off a 96 or so Jeep grand Cherokee. They are pretty much a bolt on deal to the 8.25 rear.

That's a bunch of bs. You can reinforce the area and be just fine. 72bbswinger (name?) has a 6 speed manual in his car, he even has an install thread.

What are you going/planning to do suspension and engine/tranny wise? If you don't have the floor in, how is the best time to mock up if you wanna run anything other than stock say a 6 speed tranny (auto or manual).

Don't forget torque boxes and subframe connectors.

How about Hot Pink (same as Barbie Pink as well) or Fire engine red. Honestly whatever color floats your boat.

I did read to whole thread and you were going to get the Wilwood 14" kit, but ended up with dr diffs 13" cobra kit. Is there a reason? Like it didn't protrude out further than the 14" kit etc?

You haven't said which tranny you are using and you seem to be making this a driver not a racer. Might wanna stick an overdrive tranny in it. A GM 200R4 will fit without cutting the tranny tunnel of the car.

Do the rear disc kit from Dr Diff. Good setup. I know he has a few but one is a few bucks more and you get a bigger disc.

Cool. Install sub frame connectors (I'd go with the US Car Tool version) and it will completely change the ride quality of the car. Also if you install one of these, you might scare the crap of anybody that sees it :twisted: Oh and the last picture you posted is of the K/H brakes with a 5x4...

No sub frame connectors? Why not? Best upgrade an A Body (especially a convertible) can have/get.
