The quarter definitely goes under the roof, and under the rear deck lid panel as you have it. I ended up slicing the deck lid panel back , and after welding the quarter on seamed it back in place.

Started out as a kink in the sheet metal, and after removing the paint i uncovered the crack. Checked two other doors i have and both of them are cracked in the same spot but one much worse.

How many owners of 70-72 Dusters and 71 72 Demons with the metal upper door frame, have seen buckling or cracks in the door inner at the cat whisker about the middle of the door ? If so what have you done about it?

Yes I have the exact same thing on my 68 fastback. I just was looking at that today thinking I too needed to straighten that and now I do not think I am going to.

How about headlight bezels with a screw attachment on the underside of the top of the bezel in the corner? What would this be correct for?

Thanks, I too also measured 52 3/8" . Just wanted to compare other cars, I know that gap can be tight to the tail light. Yes I am putting on full quarters, and also do have the deck lid still in place. Thanks again
