Fan shroud for aftermarket 26” radiator

I suggest you make a shroud . Measure your rad . From a metal supplier purchase a sheet of 6061-T6 aluminum .080" thick . Add channel aluminum wide enough to put the fan half way into the shroud cut hole in the sheet stock 1" larger than the diameter of the fan . You can pop rivet , bolt or...

Fan shroud for aftermarket 26” radiator

Ordinarly I would not disagree but Camaro engines are set in the middle of the car and Mopar engines are offset to the right 1/2-3/4" therefore causing an interference issue . It appears that it is not a 22" A-body radiator which means a fabed shroud is in order . IMO

65 Dart Non AC Heater to 66 Dart with AC

If you can modify the firewall I guess anything is possible . the blower fan is in the wrong position as well as the size is different . Swapping controls is needed . My question is "Why". an aftermarket heater/defroster is a lot less hassle and is 100% more efficient .

    Which thermostat to use ???

You can't have it all but you can get close . 318/360 Magnums are designed to run a hotter temps (195-210). 318/360 LA engines were designed to run (165-190) . EVERY engine DIFFERENT . I suggest you get a 160 , a 180 and a 185 * stat with abunch of gaskets and experiment to see which one the...

    AC or No AC

There are several factors here , IMO . One is weight , my A/C box, pump, brackets, dryer and evaporator weighted 48lbs . Two : cost , R12 is 230$ a pound and it takes 2 lbs . Three : appearance ; Mopar A/C units are flat out ugly . Four : use ; I live in New England . On the average we get...

    Help cooling 408 stroker

I've done a 6 month research on what it takes to cool a performance Mopar . Several issues arise that is common to b.b. & s.b. . These are my results : the block and heater (if you are using one) must be clean . sounds basic but needs to be said . I would start with the least expensive...

AC Pulley for 273 or slant 6?

Early crank pulleys are slightly different then later ones by a fraction . IDK when the break was but I'm thinkin' it was after the 273 was retired from production . 273 A/C setups are some of the most complicated in the industry for no apparent reason . I know this may not help but I've been...

    Radiator question

The front ends were redesigned in '73-'76 . The '67-'72 were (as far as I know) were all 22" except for /6 , which (as far as I know) were 16 1/2" . THE aftermarket attempts to make radiators to fit A,B,C and D bodies in one radiator which , IMO, is b.s.. One size does NOT fit all .

    help with radiator replacement

First off before you buy a new rad get your block and rad flushed and flow checked . flush the heater also . /6 rads have funky core sizes so check that before buying a new one . Also check the bolt pattern of yours vs. aftermarket and check inlet/outlet positions AND the diameter of the hose...

Hi , I have a b.b. in a '72Scamp and I'm looking at your #MOP756A radiator . What bothers me is you call out a 1 1/2" bottom hose connection . All big blocks that I've ever see have a 1 3/4" bottom hose connection . Please adsvise , thank you so much, Tom P.S. because my motor is offset to...

    A/C controls in non-A/C bezel

By the looks of the pictures the bezels are not the same size . If you are putting factory A/C in a car without factory A/C I would caution you that the heater boxes are quite different and so is the location of the heater fan on the firewall . Even the heater hoses are in a different spot ...

    Champion Radiators

I've been researching aftermarket radiators for a few months , now . I google'd champion radiator reviews and came to the conclusion that about 3 out of 10 customers have a problem with : fit , leaks or cooling . those are big odds , too big for me . Customer service by vendor is spotty but...

    Stock BB Radiator Cooling

If you must have a stock copper/brass radiator I suggest you have it recored with 1.25" tubes at least 2 rows. this is an ongoing issue at FABO and everyone has an answer . IMO there needs to be a sticky done especially regarding cars with a 22" opening . I have spoken to Cold Case and ECP...
