Stay away from Copper. They never seal. If you want the best header gasket on the market get a set of Remflex.

Remflex. They are a little pricey but they will never leak.

You will lose power with flowmasters though also. They are not the best flowing muffler by any means.

It only takes 3 minutes to drop the exhaust so I don't mind taking it off for running at the strip. I would like the exhaust to flow well on the street also. It doesn't bother me to spend the money on better exhaust. I built this setup and I will build the next one also so it only costs materials.

750hp 500" stroker. I picked up 5mph in the 1/4 by dropping the exhaust. Current set up is 3" x pipe with 40 series flowmasters dumped in front of the rear end.

I'm taking off my 3" exhaust this winter and going to 3 1/2". What are the best flowing 3 1/2" mufflers? I was leaning torwards the Borla XR-1's. Does anyone have any experience with the Borla's? This will be an X pipe exhaust that is dumped in front of the rear end.

I run Hooker fenderwells on the street and I haven't had any heat issues with the master cylinder. I don't use a heat sheild either. It's close but no problems.

I am running Hooker Fenderwell headers and I made my own X pipe exhaust for it. It turned out very well and was actually pretty simple. I just bought a 3" universal X pipe kit from summit and 2 flowmaster mufflers.

Thanks for the fast reply. Do you have any more pictures of the underneath? Did you turn the exhaust back inside the frame?

Anyone have any pictures of their exhaust with fenderwells? I would like to run mine back under the car if possible.
