    A855 - 5 Speed

They need to do a lot better than this. This is a new product and they need to make it right and the way they are handling this whole process is going to turn a lot of people away. I was planning on buying one of them until i read this post. I will go a different route. Sorry for your troubles.

    Shifter Linkage Rod difference 64-66/67-72???

which linkage rod? the actual adjustable rod for the clutch? the 63-66 are completely different linkage and fork. also if you are going to a newer 10.5 clutch and bellhousing you will need completely different linkage. Go to Brewers and look at the linkage page there you will see they have it...

Will this trans bolt up to my /6

What trans is in it now? My 66 crank accepts a 904 or 3 speed manual and the mid 70 s 4 speed I have in it now. Advice is good but until You see it for yourself that it fits or doesn't you don't know. IMO that is a great price and my guess for what it is worth it SHOULD fit. You just won't know...

    833 rebuild

you dont need any special tools. I took lots of pics for reference to put it back together. i used the paper gaskets from the kit and they leak. I am planning on pulling it and using a better gasket material. i dont know about using rtv. I ran the gear oil weight that the factory manual...

    which flywheel

Yeah i know. There is nothing worse than getting a used part for what you think is a good deal and then spending money fixing/refurbishing mounting it just to find its a 1/2" too small/big or it came off a whatever and just doesnt work. I guess the only thing worse than that is buying china...

    which flywheel

Which flywheel should i use? 1) used flywheel (i already have) out of unknown vehicle needs altered for a 360. Send it to Brewers have it altered and might as well put a new ring gear on it too aprox cost $150. 2) buy this one...

    Confusion about 833 4 speeds

Your best bet is to go to brewers website compare your syncros with the two that they sell or just give them a call. They are very knowledgable on this stuff. It can get very confusing alot of these parts are interchangable and might have been put together using parts from several trannies you...

    help? clutch wont disengage

Ok I received the clutch pak from Brewers after work on Fri. It was a balmy 38 when I started taking everything apart on the Dart this morning. when I got the pressure plate off I laid it next to the 10" one I ordered from brewers and the 3 fingers were definately longer on the new 10"...

    help? clutch wont disengage

Well there was a little stamp on the disc that said this side flywheel. Then I wondered what if it got stamped wrong? I ended up sending the latest pictures to Wayne at brewers and he thinks it just might be the pressure plate as well so I said theres only one way to find out.....throw more...

    help? clutch wont disengage

well I pulled it out and looked at it it seems ok it it is brand new but you never know. I have thought about ordering in another one and swap it out just to be sure. I didnt think this would be rocket science but it certainly is frustrating.

    help? clutch wont disengage

Ok after talking with wayne at brewers for the third time I found out I cannot use the zbar and clutch fork that I got from a 66 dart with a 3 speed manual. turns out the fork is 1/2 inch too short. So I ordered a new clutch fork, Zbar, and while I was at it I ordered the bellhousing pivot too...

    help? clutch wont disengage

I went out last night to take some pics of the zbar I noticed that my bracket got bent from me pushing in the clutch so hard. you can see in the top two pics. so I guess that tells me I have to go back to the drawing board to get a better placement for the bellhousing pivot It must just be out...

    help? clutch wont disengage

I will get some pics as soon as I can and yes the throwout bearing is centered. Brewers has a template for drilling the newer aluminum bell and I used the clutch fork pivot that brewers sent me. It does seem to bind rather than just run out of stroke so you may have something there.

    help? clutch wont disengage

well I know for sure I have the Zbar in correctly. As far as the parts I got the pedals, zbar, pedal to zbar rod, the adjusting rod, and the clutch fork from a 66 3 speed manual. I even tried the pedals, zbar and fork that came with the aluminum bellhousing out of a newer abody and it binds up...

    help? clutch wont disengage

you are exactly right its like there isnt enough stroke. I figure it is either the pressure plate or the placement of my zbar-bellhousing pivot but brewers said if it is level it should work. I thought about putting a washer in between the pressure plate and the flywheel bolts? at this point I...

    help? clutch wont disengage

I just switched over from auto to 4 speed and I cant get the clutch to completely disengage enough to put it in gear. Its a 66 dart with an aluminum od bell housing. I talked to brewers they said it would work if I used a 66 clutch fork with a pivot they sold me. My pedal goes down about half...

    Wrong Bellhousing?

I think its normal Mine was tight enough that I had to actually pull it up tight with longer bolts and then replace them with the original bolts for tightening them.

    4 Speed Pedals 67-76

When I tried to put the newer pedals in my '66 the brake pedal rubbed on my steering column. the old style pedals straddle the steering column while the newer come down on the one side of the column. The bracket is the same though. I ended up taking apart both pedal assemblies and cutting my...
