I crackedback recently informed me this is for a 318 A-body. Kinda bummed that its not a 340 manifold. :-| Any ways it'll fit 273, 318, 340, and 360 engines. Looks to be in nice shape as theirs no cracks or chunks out of it. How's $40 plus shipping sound? Located in Orange County, N.Y.

Have a nice drivers side manifold thats correct for an A-body '71 '72 '73 340. Will work with other years and other small blocks. No cracks that I can see. Bolt holes are fine. The 360 hp engine was 4 barrel and you could have gotten that in Dusters & Dart Sports in '75 & in '76 any A-Body could have been ordered with it including 4 door cars.

If it has dome pistons its most likely an original Commando engine.

To answer your question, there is a little tab in the shiter mechanism the slips into a grove in the handle and locks it in place. To release it you just need to slip a feeler gauge between the shifter and the handle to release the tab from the grove than you can just pull it out. 8)

Do you have the pair of bolts & nuts that that are used to fasten spool engine mounts to the K-frame? Its for a V8 if theres a difference.

Hey memike, '72 is the last year for the A-body 8 3/4 rear. It will bolt in to your Valiant minus drive shaft length if the 7 1/4 is still in it. This would be small bolt pattern.
