    I found this place on eBay yesterday that has $25 (each) stainless steel exhaust tips: SuperBee, Mopar, Charger, Coronet Stainless Exhaust Tip I ordered two with 2.5" left inlets, so we'll see if they are good.

    Anyone know how hot headers get about 2" out from the head?

    Sitting in traffic at idle is the least of your heat worries. They run cherry red under load and at speed. My guess is that would be 1,200 to 1,400 degrees F.

    Cast later for replacements? Maybe they didn't cast enough shelf stock during the first year runs.

    440 exhaust stud

    Why not use a 3/8" stud and nut or just switch to a 3/8" bolt? Use thread sealer on it because they are wet. I never heard of a 5/8" stud, so maybe I'm reading your post incorrectly. If you mean it was 5/16" diameter into the head, then go with with 5/16" all the way. You did get the broken...

    340 HP's vs headers

    Does anyone have a set of 340 exhaust manifolds for sale? I am swapping a 340 for my 1967 Cuda's 273 factory setup. I'd like to keep the factory look and I am guessing that the 273 logs won't be useable - right?
