    The nose of the pinion should be the same number as the transmission axis but in the opposite direction. So if the pinion is pointing down at 2 degrees, the trans axis at the tail should be up 2 degrees. Therefore they will remain parallel.

The input shaft on a Chebby goes thru the center of the throw-out bearing and sometime will rub on the bearing so much that the rubbing can even cause the input shaft to continue spinning enough to cause difficulty in getting...

    Yes, that what he means. If more travel is added to the clutch fork and you still have this problem, then the throw-out bearing is dragging on the input shaft. That means you'll have to pull the trans and take a look at it.

    Xs 2 with this advice! To retain the heat treating, dip the still hot part in hot cooking oil to quench it. Otherwise, you may find that hard shifting starts to bend it there.
