It’s a heck of a long road for them to finish this car. Once it is in color, it should come together fairly quickly. For the lower stripes, make sure he paints the front and rear valances and the stripes overlap that a bit.

    Finally got my M-Code Cuda

jim congrats on the purchase. I remember this car from when it was posted on eBay a while back. I was cool with the hemi...wonder what happened to it along the way. Is there a fender tag on the car? I assume it is long gone with the conversion. I am 99% sure that I passed the VIN along to...

....now if it was only a notchback...J/K. I love your car quite a bit! It was on my radar for a minute. Hope Mark is taking care of it at a reasonable price based upon how long it has taken. G/L with the resto and keep us posted!

Chris, Glad you are back at it after a hiatus! I know every time I see you up at Grand I ask how it is going, so now that there are updates I can quit asking! Shane

    1969 Barracuda Convertible resto-mod project

Welcome aboard! This is the friendliest Mopar site on the net. You will find tons of help with any issue you may run into. That car sounds really nice. I can't wait to see some pics. Also, keep me in mind with any "extra" parts you have lying around after it is all said and done. Look...

    1969 'cuda 383 4-speed

Based upon what I know about the history on that car, it ended up with the right owner. It was in NY, went to Nevada, then to at least two other owners in CA before it landed in your hands. Good on you for wanting the car done correctly, and having the resources to do it right. I am sure...

Let the trophys begin! Nice car Jason. Looks like Kim does some quality work! The only giveaway are the emblems on the front fender! Stripe delete with the Rallye dash and tach...I love it! That car has some unique options for sure (locking gas cap, white streak tires, etc). I was drooling...

    69 A56 340 'Cuda 4 speed

Curt, you are correct on both counts. Also, carb tag colors can help to identify thier original purpose; gold anodized tags were often found on replacement carbs, production examples (for a vintage AVS) were typically silver, blue, or red/burgundy. The link that I sent should also help...

    69 A56 340 'Cuda 4 speed

Is that the correct date coded carb for the car? There should be a stamp on the same foot as the carb number. Can't remember the SPD on your car, but I suspect that it might be something like A9, B9 or C9... Also the finish does not look spot on to me. Might be the lighting. I know you...

    69 A56 340 'Cuda 4 speed

I agreee with Dave. Remove everything that you can. Taping IMHO is a distant second if you are trying to preserve the original finishes of all the other stuff that is not body color. Either way, it is coming along. You plan on having it ready to go after the snow melts up there? You are...

Curt, Progress is progress! I am sure that you will find good vendors for stuff for that car. Here is a quick list of stuff for you to chew on once the snow flies (and you are ready to pull the plug on a big, crooked number for your A56! I love the plates BTW. Here are a couple off the...

Curt, I know that you have a specific direction that you are taking the car (from what I can tell kind of lightly modified), but ECS Automotive sell factory correct exhausts for A Bodies, as well as Accurate Exhaust supposedly has a quality system as well. http://www.ecsautomotive.com/...

Looks good! The options on that car (and there are a lot of them) makes it a real sleeper. Was there a stripe package on that car? I also thought it came with the turbine style hubcaps or wire style hubcaps, was I mistaken? Either way, looks like a pretty straight forward restore...what...

Jason, now that right there is progress! You will like that 340, I promise! At any rate, it looks like you are a man on a mission, and I know there are some shows in Florida during the fall. Is the car going to make a debut before the end of November? Looks like Kim is blazing through it.

    M Code Notch

Sounds like the car has as interesting story...almost as interesting as the car itself. IHMO, I would not put in back in 'race' trim. I would fix those inners, and put a lightly modified 440 in it. Sort of like a "Day 2" look while staying true to the fender tag and pedigree of the car...

    M Code Notch

Is there a VIN and/or fender tag with the car? If so, check with BB-Dave and see if it is in his registry. If it has been out of the rotation for that long, I would be surprised if he has it in there. Great find! Too bad all of the hard to find stuff is already gone. I'm interested to see...

That is an optional steering wheel. It has the full horn ring and large delta shape pad. Most I have seen are the standard steering wheel or the wood grain, but the full horn ring is out there. IMHO it looks out of place on these cars...

Its coming together quickly. I still love those plates on that car...they will make a good conversation piece. I can't tell from the pic, but the 340 looks to be a little more blue that what I am used to...perhaps it is my monitor or the picture itself. Either way, it looks great! Keep up...

I bet it is the 1969 383 car that Don has in Conn. Sounds like the same car.... 1969 383 4 speed car. Go through the parts with a fine tooth comb. That can be a great car but it needs quite a bit of work.... Great car, though. Has the codes you are speaking of. If it is not that car I...

    just bought a 1969 A56 cuda

Nice find! You are right, the car is 1 of 68 4 speeds. They did 30 autos. You can drill down more once you know the specific options, but I can tell you that finding an A56 notch is hard enough by itself. I can also tell you that I used to have one (gallery plug below), but I believe that car...
