I have a 69 Dart conv See avatar that has the mechnical parts removed. I can manipulate the top single handedly. Rarely take it out in chancy weather. I have a 69 cuda that the top works. Still rarely take it out if rain might happen. Just trying to protect the undercarriage.

After the rams are removed its possible to do it singlehandedly, but much easier with one on each side.

Step 1 get the parts in place. Step 2 find time to install said parts. Step 3 trouble shoot and adjust. Step 4 re evaluate and repeat.

Looks great. For me finishing the project gets a lot easier when it starts to look like a car again. Cool color! Are you putting the stripe back on?

Take a lot of pics and take your time and you'll do fine. I installed mine about 1/4 inch loose to allow for shrinkage.

No problem, I always wanted a custom ride.

Also when you go to install snaps if you use a 2x4 under it you might not flatten the snap. I used a metal backing plate to install the snaps and I have the prettiest little flat spots on all but the center snap.

Got my boot from Year One and it had the pad to protect from the hook. It was for a 69 Dart so I don't know about your car. I've also heard Year One is an outlet for Legendary so you may want to check both. Verts Rule!!

Do it yourself if you are handy. Go slow, take lots of pics and the number one mistake to avoid is installing it too tight. It will shrink about 3% with time so give it a little slack. See my avatar.

I haven't had these off but it looks like they slide down from the top and are held with the screws that fasten the snaps. Hope this helps.
