These are 99% likely 17x8s, since that's the size offered by ford for the 2001-2004 Mustang.

Depends if they're 17x7 or 17x8. 17x7's fit better than 17x8's becuase they don't come as close to the zerk fitting on the tie rod end.

Do you mean the lower ball joint or the tie rod end? I have heard that these 17's can run close to the tie rod ends, but a thin spacer can help with that. Do you have front disc brakes? I'm assuming you do since the wheels are large bolt pattern. I know the 73 cars had a slightly wider wheel...

Thanks abodyjoe. I've seen that before but didn't realize they were 8" wide. With 1" less BS, should be all set in the back. Does anybody know about the front? For some reason I thought 17"x8" presented an issue in the front, and i would prefer to rotate my tires if possible.

Will that backspacing fit on a stock rear suspension for a '73 Dart? Or will it need a spacer?

Those look awesome on your car, and I was actually looking at buying some of these. Are these really mustang wheels? You must have needed some serious spacers, unless these are custom... I tried Mustang wheels on my car and they have like 5.5" to 6" of backspace. Also, might help to move this...
