    Just go to your favorite parts place and buy a set of plastic transmission plugs. Just a plastic version of the yoke. Don't forget to plug the cooler outlets when you remove the lines. Also, no you can leave the trans in the car if you want.

    I've shipped 2 and I metal band strapped it diagonally to a standard pallet. I delivered it to my Overnight Freight company in the next city. Cost depends on a combination of distance and freight weight. The cheapest was about 700 miles and it cost almost $300 to ship it. I split the freight...

    There's a bushing in the tailshaft of the TF. It's probably shot and causing your problem.

    Ditto to what Artie said. Unless you're going to hard core drag race with slicks and a stick car the 8.25 is superior to the ford. If it's rear wheel discs you're after junk yard a Jeep Grand Cherokee setup and bolt it on. Shop the swaps and find a sure grip and call Randy's for a rebuild...
