Dual springs require machining the valve spring seat so the inner spring clears.

Your gonna need a ton of work to get into the 450-500 range. Your easiest route will be a stroker crank and a good set of heads. A stock stroke 340 is going to have a torque peak in the 5500rpm range with the cam needed to get you that power. Its not going to be the most street friendly thing.

You need a kick down linkage diagram. For the intake theres a small hole up front for the temp sender. All the others you can plug. Oil sending unit screws into the back of the block near the distributor.

So you still need valves and a valve job. Theres a few hundred bucks easily depending on what valves you buy. Springs lock and retainers, another few hundred. You would probably be better off starting with a new set of heads like the Indy/RHS heads or some Edelbrocks,

Its a good deal especially if you need a set of X heads for a resto. However they really dont flow and better then other 340/360 castings with 202 intake valves.

Are you looking for a just a good running carb or do you want everything replated like factory new ? That will make a big difference in who you choose.

Never had an issue with the Fel Pros

I think the open chambered heads have more clearance for stock high compression 340 pistons or any piston modeled after them. So if your KBs are 68-71 replacements you would need the open chambered ones.
