    Custom Drive shaft vendors

72SCAMPTRAMP: You live in Iowa so give Victory Driveline a go. They are in Iowa. I talked with them at the 10' Monster Mopar. They make the shafts for Mancini, Strange and a few other companies. I bought a 3"DOM, 1350 joints and slip yoke for $285 shipped to my door. I ordered mine through...

    8 3/4

X2 on the Dana Build It maybe overkill now, but in a few years when you need it then you have it. Plus you never have to worry is this going to be the launch my rear breaks. Spend a little more now or spend twice as much doing it over later

    8 3/4

500hp stock up to 600hp: 35 spline axles, back brace after 600hp: aluminum third member They will hold alot of abuse but you will need to change/adjust gears alot. On launch the gears will try to get pushed out the back of the case. The pinion gear seperates from the ring gear. This will...

What Drive Shaft, Strange or Mancini Aluminum 1350

Victory Driveshaft makes Mancini's shafts for them. They also make them for A&A Transmission. Call Rick at A&A and order it from him. He has Victory polish it and clearcoat it; looks nice. Heck Rick even went step by step with me to make sure I got it measured right. I talked with a...

    '70 Chrysler 300 8 3/4???

I would say that the 8 3/4 is a 1000 times better. I have heard/read from alot of people that a stock 8 3/4 will handle 500hp no worries. So down the road when U upgrade to a stroker V8 and the rear will be there. If you have to disassemble the rear you could go ahead and weld a brace on it...

    7260 to 7290 conversion

X3 on the 1350's That way it will be done forever. I ran the 7260/7290 conversion on my 65 Coronet for years. Cars weight was around 3600lbs and ran Hi 11's. The conversion isn't junk but 1350's are piece of mind. Torq and heavy cars are the downfall for smaller u-joints.

    dana 60 u bolt

Not sure if this will help. I replaced my 8 3/4 with a Strange Dana 60 unit. The U-bolts were tight put they fit. They didn't just slip on so you might have to persuade they on some. I had to tap them on with a rubber mallet. I went to Artilley school at Ft.Sill (USMC) in 88'...

    Drive Shaft requirements?? Stroker???

If they have differnt size joints now then it might have the 7260/7290 conversion on it. It SHOULD be ok. You are getting into the HP range where the factory stuff is iffy. Weight of the car is also something to look at. Heavy cars are harder on parts. If I were using it for racing then I...
