    Elephant ear mounts

Jegs sells what you are looking for. It is called an engine limiter or motor plate strut. Look in the chassis section and they are listed in the motor mount area. Comp Eng and Jegs make them. I used one with my elephant ears. I used my pass. side stock engine mount. I drilled out the...

How is your Car hauler Rigged Up?

28' Premier trailer. Front part has speaker box carpet. Aluminum door cabinet. You can't see it but right inside the side door is the jack stand/jack holder. I also have front and rear tiedown hooks on the walls. Roof A/C but you in the Great White North have need for that. Tread plate for...

    Drag race seats

I like the looks/comfort of the ProCar seats but haven't found a way to mount them to the crossbar of the hoop. I guess you could take the backs apart add a brace bar and then put them back together.

So how many weekends has your track been open this year?

Cordova,IL has been rained out just about every Friday or Saturday. It is nice during the week and rains on the weekends. Which is fine with me because mine isn't done yet. Maybe this week and then of coarse it will rain Friday.

Lauch limiter and shift light options?

I just reread my post. I told you wrong. It uses 2 chips. 1 top end limiter and 1 for linelock. The dials are for launch. Gives you the chance to adjust the launch RPM's for ever changing track conditions. I can't use one in NSS but if could I would get another one

    went to the dyno

I would go with the 125/150 shot instead of a cam change. 1: alot easier to do 2: you get to keep it the same streetable condition that it is in now. I like your thinking about for race day only. Get to the track change the plugs, adjust timing, add some race fuel and you are racing...

    Battery cut off switch

CRACKEDBACK: I get what you are saying so if i was going to change my "simple way" over to your "complete" way. Do I just follow it as drawn or do I need to change anything since I don't have a 1 wire Alt. I have done the "EASY" way for years and on alot of cars. I have never had a...

    Battery cut off switch

No need for all that extra stuff. X3 on the 8ga. wire to the Battery side of the cut off switch. Take the "power" wire that runs from the alt to the bulkhead and throw it out. Now run a new 8 ga. power wire from the Alt. to the battery side(OFF) of the cut off switch. IT WILL CUT THE CAR...

Lauch limiter and shift light options?

I bought one of these. Has a limiter for the water box(line lock) one for the line (transbrake) and overall revlimiter. only uses one chip(rev limiter) the waterbox and launch use dials to set limit. It uses the tach lite MSD 8735 Launch Control Module Selector Jeg#121-8735 I didn't...

    air pressure in slicks

No magic number. Start with the 17. Make a pass and if it doesn't spin then you drop it a pound on each run until it spins than go back the previous setting. You want to run as much air as possible in the tires and still have traction. More air = less rolling resistance.

    rear window straps?

If you look real close you can see the rivets on the straps. I guess I misunderstood his question. I was thinking he was just putting them on to be different. MY BAD:thumbup:

I think the dates needs to be checked again because I have heard that Cordova Drag Park in Illinois is the oldest purpose built dragstrip in America.

    rear window straps?

Having the window straps have no function on a dragcar, but they could serve as fashion. I think they look kind of cool. JMO. IF you were going to put them on your car you could use liquid nail. That is how I attacted my fiberglass bumper to the brackets on another dragcar. I talked to VFN...

Anyone running MT ET Street Radials?

Alot of guys are running the ET Streets and dipping into the 9's. My buddy runs them on his 04 GTO. He was coming home from the track in the rain(drizzle). He told me it got lose a few times so I would say they aren't rain worthy.

    rear end question

When you say offset side, you mean the pass. side tube is longer than the dr. side right? Well if the wusstange rear is to wide and needs to be cut down anyway then can't you cut each tube the length you want them? for example: pass side 22" and the dr. side 23 1/2. I know these aren't the...

    STRANGE axel twisted?

40 spline would give you piece of mind but come on 40 spline is way overkill. If you step up to a 35 spline Dana then you are good to go. I have been told that mid to high 10's is the limit for the 8 3/4. I was going to run mid 10's so I made the call and stepped up to a Dana, anyway pick up...

Near stock 73 Swinger first time at the track

Without getting crazy, the first thing I would do is get a set of M/T ET street drag radials. You never said if it had a sure-grip so if not install one. Up the gears. I not sure what the stock gears are but I bet they are not helping you launch. 3.73 or 3.90 will help you launch and still be...

Is everyone running aftermarket axles that post low 60' times?

First off I will say that aftermarket axles are a smart investment. BUT If you are running 1.70-1.80 60ft you will not always need aftermarket axles. Those 60ft times would put you in the 12.00 -12.50 1/4 times. I run 1.72-1.75 60ft 12.40's been running that for about 5 years on slicks...
