Alright I have an issue. The car is a 65 Barracuda with power steering (wife's car) with a 273 and 318 heads. I sold the original 273 manifolds, because I heard that I would have to grind on them and would devalue them. I have tried a set of 340 manifolds, they don't fit and hit the power box...

I just ordered a set a couple of days ago. Looks like Summit is back ordered. They will drop ship on the 23rd, so they say.

Jeremy they it is going to be the same options as the LA heads. Either the ones that hang low and are cheap or the ones that are expensive, but don't drag. :D

Yep. Sounds like a case of the lowest bidder got the contract.

Just went by the dealership to pick up a new manifold gasket and the studs. The parts guy said that they can't keep them in stock because they all break on the 4.7. He said the replacement studs are a different alloy and are much better. Just letting you guys know.

Fishy I don't think that you want to put an impact on these. They are tiny. All of them that I have seen are a 10 mm nut. What's up with that? :angry7:

It's not that big of a deal and yeah Mike I have a heated garage, but the problem is my W-100 is scattered all over it getting ready for paint. Looks like I will be doing it in the driveway or roll the W-100 out in the driveway for the day. I just hope one of the studs doesn't decide to break...

Thanks Memike and yes it's one of them close to the firewall, but the access through the wheel well looks decent. I just hate trying to loosen rusty exhaust parts. They never cooperate.

I just had Cherry Bomb Turbo mufflers installed in my mild 440 Fury and I think they sound pretty sweet. Very mellow until you put your foot into it. They are inexpensive too. Here is a video. If you go to 3:40 in the video you can hear the exhaust. YouTube- Video
