    project blown slant

I was wondering how long it would take someone to question it, I seen this at a cruise this past weekend and I had to take a second look. He even has the lower pulley conected to an A/C clutch so he can turn it on like Mad Max. Just think of the back pressure from that exhaust? I would at...

    Timing Chain Replacement Question

The way you had it is correct, but it is easier installing the chain with the dots aligned in the middle. There is also no need to mess with the dist when changing the timing chain, once the chain is in then set the engine on TDC compression stroke to make sure the dist is in correctly as well...

    Timing Chain Replacement Question

That was correct, the engine should be at TDC "exhaust" stroke when the dots are lined up. When the engine is at TDC "compression" stroke, the dots will both at the top of the gears and not lined up.

Correct Motor mounts for 65 /6 in wagon?

The early A tranny mount has two bolts for the cross member, the 67 up has one bolt, they "may" work,(I've never tried) but they're not the same.

    fusible links?

You can't use a fuse to replace the fusible link. You need to replace the fusible link wire with another fusible link wire. The wire is only on the outside of the firewall though and runs between the terminal on the relay and your bulk head connector, the wire on the inside of the car is the...

    fusible links?

I'm not sure about the 70's Mopars but the 60's A-Bodies only has the one. I'm sure someone on here knows where the other is. How is the contact between the fusible link at the bulk head connector and the under dash wiring harness? It is common for these connections to get lightly corroded and...

    fusible links?

If you have power from the ignition/switch wire at the relay in the start position and the starter turns over when you jump it. The problem has to be the relay, the neutral safety switch wire or a bad connection between the relay and the starter. 1) If your fusible link is bad then you won't...

    fusible links?

What do you mean by both sides? The relay has the large battery cable terminal, the smaller starter cable to activate the starter, the ignition power lead from the switch to activate the the relay which should only have power when you are in the start position and a neutral safety switch wire...

    fusible links?

Checking the resistance on a relay laying on the counter won't tell you whether it is working or not, you need to have power to the relay to see if it is working. Is your battery fully charged? from what it sounds like it isn't charging and you were running off the battery. Or you have bad...

    fuel issue after car sits.

A friend of mine owns a junk yard and there has been more cars over the last few years come in and the only thing wrong with the car was the fuel system was messed up from the current gas. The current gas is garbage and eats the rubber in the fuel lines and carb gaskets when it gets about 2-3...

    Timing Chain Replacement Question

Wait a minute! The way I read this, the cam gear mark was 180 deg. from the crank gear at TDC comp stroke, correct? This is not wrong, the crank turns 2 times for ever 1 of the cam. just turn the crank 1 revolution and they will be lined up to re-install the gears. The engine will be on TDC #1...
