Remflex will seal the head to header flange well but they are soft. After a few months, the passenger side gasket separated and protruded out (leaking again) near the alternator. I think I may try the Bison gaskets I bought at the local speed shop last year, they are thick like the Remflex...

My headers also leaked in the same location as yours and like Dave said Remflex sealed this area up for me too. However, this weekend I noticed that the passenger side the gasket was pushed out next to the front stud (near alternator) and I had to replace it (they are made from soft material)...

There application is for early A Body cars, I think you might have better options available.
