I really don't care what it is called. The major part of my post was to dispel the idea that it prevents rotation of the bearing. It does not. It just locates the bearing. The "crush" is what keeps the bearing from rotating.

It is actually called a "TANG". It only locates the bearing, and has nothing to do with preventing rotation. The "crush" of the bearing in the housing bore prevents rotation.

It's not a "true" hemi. More like a "semi hemi". Just like the "new" Hemi's are not true Hemi's.

4 "A" bodies (not all with running engines) 2 trucks (one with the slant), 5 engines on stands, in various stages of completion. 6 Complete "core" engines. Lots of blocks, cranks, rods, pistons. Lots of cyl heads (stock, milled, and large valve). All kinds of pistons, ring sets, bearings, valve...

One other thing is the diameter of the flywheel center hole. 67 and older slant six, and small block had a smaller center hole then the 68 and newer. Flywheel center hole needs to match the engine, or be either machined or bushed (depending on which way converting).

I don't have the adapters for my 88 Diplomat. Called all around the area to see if any one (including dealers) could aim them. Absolutely no one had a aiming machine. They all said they just "shoot" the wall.

Speaking of Hoppy, I have a "Hoppy" head light aiming setup. Don't have all the adapters, though. Would like to find them, at a reasonable price.
